Purple Urkle (Indica)
Purple Urkle comes from Mendo Purps pheno and is native to the notorious green triangle in northern California. It is characterized by unusually long orange hairs covering small, dense, purple nugs when properly grown and harvested. The color is a purple much like that found on quality strains of Lavender, although despite common misconception, the two are not related.
Nevada’s On-Again, Off-Again Marijuana Sales Back On
RENO, Nev. (AP) — Nevada regulators reaffirmed their intentions Friday to issue licenses necessary for retailers to begin selling pot for recreational use on July 1 while complying with a court order in a lawsuit filed by alcohol wholesalers who want a piece of the pot distribution business.
The retail licensees could include as many as 25 medical dispensaries in the Las Vegas area and four others in Reno that already have medical retail licenses, as long as they adhere to packaging requirements in an emergency regulation to be adopted Monday, state Department of Taxation spokeswoman Stephanie Klapstein said.
The fate of the recreational program has been in limbo since a Carson City judge ruled Tuesday that the ballot measure voters approved requires that alcohol wholesalers have exclusive rights to pot distribution licenses for 18 months.
Better Business Bureau Exposing Fake Online Weed Companies
The Better Business Bureau (BBB), founded in 1912 to provide consumer protection and industry self-regulation, was a reaction to “medical quackery and the promotion of nostrums and worthless drugs,” according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI).
So here we are, 105 years later, and the BBB has gone back to its original motivating objective.
Their investigation found that the fake companies claimed to be selling a large variety of substances like bath salts and “research chemicals,” as well as marijuana products.
They checked out the business addresses, which didn’t compute and their hyperlinks led to false addresses.
Nevada Recreational Marijuana Sales to Start Next Weekend
One week from Saturday, despite some recent road bumps, some medical marijuana dispensaries will be able to sell recreationally.
Governor Brian Sandoval has signed some emergency legislation, at the request The Department of Taxation, creating labeling guidelines for recreational marijuana. This legislation was necessary before sales began.
There is still an injunction filed by a Carson City judge limiting distribution licenses to people who currently hold liquor wholesale licenses. Channel 2 News has reached out to local Reno dispensaries since that decision and have been told they were still able to get a distributor and planned for a July 1st start date. This announcement might give them another option.
The Department of Taxation says that dispensaries that receive adult-use marijuana store licenses can sell the inventory they have on hand on July 1st as medical or adult-use, as long as the products sold as adult-use meet the packaging and labeling requirements established in the emergency regulation set to be adopted Monday.
