Start Preparing For The Outdoor Marijuana Growing Season

Category: Culture | Posted on Thu, February, 6th 2014 by THCFinder
growing-season
FINALLY! February marks the beginning of the outdoor marijuana season for those in the northern hemisphere. Are you ready? Have you picked out an acceptable location? What strains are you planning on growing? This outdoor grow guide is intended to help with the major facets of outdoor cannabis cultivation, available on this link for free!

Part 1 will provide you with details on acceptable grow sites including their requirements and a few examples. I will be providing a new chapter every other week, and your feedback, tips, and pictures would be awesome to see. We plan on compiling all this new information so that we can eventually release THE ultimate guide to growing outdoors in one volume (as a free download, of course).

Virtually everyone’s ideal outdoor season ends with a large bag of top-notch marijuana. Every year, I have new experiences and learn new things like how nosy neighbors might get suspicious, how farmers might discover your plants in their fields, and how thieves get a kick out of stealing your crop just before harvest. Of course, that’s all part of the process for outdoor growers. You also don’t have to spend a lot of money for impressive results. For only 50 bucks you can end up with between 3 and 5 plants at 2 to 2.5 meters high that produce yields of around 500 grams per plant (that’s over a pound!).

Here is the first page of the free outdoor grow guide. Get your free copy here. Your first course of action should be to find an acceptable location for growing marijuana. The major things you want to look for are:

Sun
More sunlight correlates to larger plants and higher yields. If you plant in the shadows, at least make sure your plants get some sun each day.

Water
Plants will be able to thrive in most areas, except those that are uncharacteristically dry. Of course, if you have more water at your disposal, then the plant can absorb more nutrients. Creeks, rivers, or other nearby sources of water are ideal. Bringing in your own water is also an option.

Massachusetts Working On Dispensaries By Summer

Category: Dispensaries | Posted on Thu, February, 6th 2014 by THCFinder
mass-disp-coming-soon
The east coast state of Massachusetts has been working on making medical marijuana available to patients for over a year now. But last Friday marked the day that the state granted out the first 20 (of more to come) licenses to run dispensaries. The shops will be spread throughout MA, including one in the high trafficked area of Boylston Street in the heart of Boston. Other cities that will contain the shops include Worcester, Newton, and Salem.

The state law says that there can be 35 license allowed but officials have decided to just start off with 20 to see how things go. It was promised that more licenses will be given out towards the summer months. The medical marijuana laws in Massachusetts also say that no county shall have more than five dispensaries. But since medical marijuana was approved by voters two years ago, these small steps bring cannabis a little bit closer to the patients in Massachusetts.

One of the clinics opening in MA, named Green Heart Holistic Health, are keeping their fingers crossed that they will be able to open their new shop at the end of the summer, located right across from Boston University Medical Center. They will have their grow site in Amesbury and will not just be growing THC concentrated strains but ones with good amounts of CBD as well, which will help patients that have MS, epilepsy, and cancer. The facility will most likely be a large indoor grow, with smaller plots outside for summer months, as growing marijuana in the cold east coast winters is extremely difficult (there are some people who seem to think that it's still possible to grow through four feet of snow... Trust me, I've spoken to these kinds of people).

The domino effect on the east coast is spreading. While Massachusetts is only allowing medical marijuana for terminal patients and not fully legalizing, it's still a huge step for the east coast. Support for cannabis is still gaining an incredible amount of momentum and with more people accepting the benefits of the plant, we can hope to see more states push for legalization. At least the east coast is finally managing to make moves in order to even out the country in regards to cannabis acceptance.

Strain Review; Ghost OG

Category: Medical Marijuana | Posted on Wed, February, 5th 2014 by THCFinder

Ghost OG Kush is a very highly rated strain of cannabis, primarily an indica dominant hybrid with a ratio of about 70/30. It is characterized by it's dank nugs which are extremely hairy. The nugs are super dense, with a satisfactory covering of trichomes that give this bud an amazing look. Just based on sight alone, you'll want to pack this in your bong and smoke it. If the look of the bud doesn't get you, the smell will. Ghost OG Kush has a very citrusy smell and while still remaining pleasant, you can definitely catch the hint of that familiar OG smell.

This strain is one of the ones that you should be careful with. If you're not a heavy smoker, you should probably build up to this one. This bud tastes amazing, providing that it's well cured and has been flushed before harvest. Providing a smooth hit for the user, Ghost OG Kush is sure to become a favorite of yours if you can get your hands on a good batch. But as said before, be careful. With such heavy indica properties, this bud will cause you to become seriously couch locked if you don't know what you're getting in to. It's best to start with this strain in a bowl rather than the bong.

For patients with medical needs, Ghost OG Kush is a great medicine to have in the cabinet. Those suffering from depression and anxiety can greatly benefit from the strain's ability to calm people down. Not only that but it's amazing indica effects are great for those in pain as well as those suffering from eating issues. It also means that insomnia patients will be able to sleep if they choose to utilize Ghost OG Kush. So if you do see this strain on a shelf at a dispensary, it's suggested that you snag some, at least just to try it!
