The artist, who was booked under the name DeAndre Cortez Way, was brought to the Carroll County Jail on a felony charge of marijuana possession.

More dispensaries are being shut down by the Federal government keeping good on their promise to start cracking down on dispensaries to leave medical marijuana patients hanging high and dry without their medication.

SACRAMENTO, CA - Another week, another shutdown. Medizen medical marijuana dispensary on Northgate Boulevard in Sacramento was shut down early Monday morning. It is a city-licensed business, but that hasn't stopped the feds from moving in.
Several weeks ago, federal prosecutors in California announced they plan on cracking down on medical marijuana dispensaries. Even though medical marijuana is legal in this state, it's still considered an illegal drug by the federal government.
DEA agents began clearing out the Medizen dispensary even before it opened for business Monday. Agents also raided Central Valley Caregivers Co-operative in Stockton about the same time.
A Medizen employee told News10 that his his manager and landlord were never notified by letter or by the federal government. The business was forced to shut down without warning.
"I was supposed to open at 10 a.m. They got here at 7:30. I heard... they came in and basically took all our stuff, seized everything, took all our cash and product and stuff and that's basically it," said employee Mike Amarao."They just said they're shutting all the clubs down in Sacramento, that's all we heard."

New surveys are showing that the american population across our nation is ready to legalize marijuana and end the failed prohibition against it.

(CBS News)  Never before have more Americans believed legalizing marijuana was the right course for the country.
In a new Gallup poll, 50 percent of respondents in a nationwide survey said they believed it was time to make pot legal. About 46 percent came out against it.
Support for legalizing marijuana tended to be stronger among younger, more liberal groups, according to Gallup. Legalization received 62 approval among those aged 18 to 29, but got only 31 percent approval among those 65 and older. Liberals were twice as likely as conservatives to favor legalizing marijuana.

Colo. medical marijuana dispensaries join union

Category: Dispensaries | Posted on Tue, October, 18th 2011 by THCFinder
Colorado medical marijuana dispensaries are getting a boost in political clout after they joined the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.
The U.S. Justice Department has warned that marijuana dispensaries and licensed growers in states with medical marijuana laws could face prosecution for violating federal drug and money-laundering laws, which union members are vowing to fight.
Daniel J. Rush, a national marijuana dispensary organizer for the union, said dispensary owners are at war with the U.S. Justice Department in California over the issue, and he believes the unions can help them.
"They declared war on us, we didn't declare war on them," Rush said.
Dispensaries in Michigan, California, and Washington state also are seeking union backing.
