U.K. Proposal Announced To Legalize Marijuana

Category: Legalization | Posted on Mon, October, 14th 2013 by THCFinder
uk-proposal-to-legalize-marijuanaA group of ministers in the Liberal Democrat party are introducing a proposal to drastically alter the U.K.’s drug policies by legalizing cannabis, in addition to other “club drugs” such as ecstasy, according to the Sunday Times. The move is planned as a means to fix the U.K.’s failing war on drugs, which has resulted in an increase in crime, and a heavy financial burden on taxpayers.

A review ordered by Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, which is due to be published before Christmas, is expected to suggest that the U.K. should legalize cannabis in a way similar to Washington and Colorado in the United State.

The proposal is also expected to call for the introduction of heroin clinics where addicts can receive the drug through prescription in an attempt to reduce crime by dissuading individuals from purchasing from the black-market.

The proposal is expected to be released in December.

How To Make Weed Tea The Right Way

Category: Recipes | Posted on Mon, October, 14th 2013 by THCFinder
how-to-make-weed-teaAs winter is fast approaching, those of us that are in places that get snow are buckling down for what is expected to be a rough winter. While the majority of Californians won't really notice a difference, there are people that will need to keep warm this winter. And what better way to stay cozy than with a nice cup of some medicated tea?

To make medicate tea, you'll need tea, a cup, butter, and some weed. Please note that there is no specific amount of weed that you'll need, it all depends on the person. Please don't dump a ton of weed in to your tea, as you don't know how it will effect you at first. It's better to be patient and make numerous batches of tea so that you get your perfect amount.

So to make the tea, you must first boil the water. When it starts to boil, pour it over the ground up marijuana in your cup. By adding the small amount of butter (You can use cannabutter for this and save yourself a step as well!), the THC becomes more easily absorbed. THC is not water soluble so just putting it in boiling water won't get as much THC from the bud as you could. By adding the butter, the THC has more to bond with and therefore, will get you more stoned. You can also add milk to the tea, or hard liquor if that's what you prefer. Either substance will increase the potency of your tea and create a warm, uplifting body high that is sure to improve the dullness of a snowy winter night!

The butter is a key part of weed tea. By not adding something with fat in it, you're losing out on a large amount of THC. Whether you use cannabis butter or just regular butter, it's always better to add some. The tea will taste better and be stronger. Plus, no one likes to waste their weed!

Industrial Hemp Surges Forward

Category: Culture | Posted on Sun, October, 13th 2013 by THCFinder
industrial-hemp-gains-momentumMedical usage aside, the plant we love has a closely related relative that produces an amazing fiber that can be used for pretty much everything. From fuel to fabric, hemp is better than any material we use today. It grows faster, healthier, and takes up less space than our current crops. But since the hemp and marijuana plant are so similar, hep production is illegal... Or it was. Recently, along with the push for medical marijuana, there is also a push for hemp.

California recently passed a bill to allow hemp production. This means farmers will be able to break in to a $500 million industry that will save us thousands of dollars in paper, oil, fabric, and land. California lawmakers claim that there is no reason that hemp should be illegal, since it doesn't contain THC, which is the component in the plant that gets you high. Not only has California jumped on this hemp producing bandwagon, but there are nine other states that allow the production of hemp. There are also another 30 countries that produce the plant and manufacture it.

By allowing the production of hemp, we lessen the need for crops like corn. Hemp takes much less water to grow than corn. The hemp plants also have no need for pesticides or growth hormones, as they grow extremely fast. Hemp has an incredibly long list of uses, not only for industrial products but for fashion, food, and disease. Not being able to produce hemp is serious defect in the economy. By saving both land and water, we clear room for animals to live because we all know that the human race is not-so-slowly encroaching on animal territory. Hemp would allow us to have a more naturally sustaining economy because it can be used for so many products.

The human population is expanding every day. If more states allow for the production of hemp, we can begin to use it for things that we normally wouldn't use it for. Now that cultivation of the plant is legal, more studies can be done on it to see what other amazing benefits it holds for us to discover. The cannabis plant is always showing us new ways that it can help us. How long is it going to take for people to really grasp the fact that cannabis can genuinely help the human race improve?
