Miley Cyrus admits marijuana use: Weed is the best drug on earth

Miley Cyrus has taken it a step higher.
In a new set of quotes released from Cyrus' in-depth interview with the Oct. 10 issue of Rolling Stone magazine, the 20-year-old singer delves into her use of recreational drugs.
The former "Hannah Montana" starlet told the edgy mag that "weed is the best drug on earth," and other substances such as cocaine and MDMA, also known as molly, don't really hold a candle to marijuana.
"One time I smoked a joint with peyote in it, and I saw a wolf howling at the moon," Cyrus told Rolling Stone contributing editor Josh Eells.
"Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better. And molly, too. Those are happy drugs — social drugs. They make you want to be with friends. You're out in the open. You're not in a bathroom."
"I really don't like coke. It's so gross and so dark. It's like, what are you, from the '90s? Ew," she added.

Smoking with friends vs. Smoking Solo
Category: Culture | Posted on Sat, September, 28th 2013 by THCFinder
Smoking has created thousands of friendships over the years and strengthened just as many. Even so, there are always people who would rather smoke by themselves before smoking with friends. This is something that definitely depends on the person. Some people are just anti social or may have had bad experiences with weed thieves in the past, which is enough to make anyone prefer to toke up alone. There are pros and cons to each of these situations, whether you're a lone wolf or a social butterfly.
Smoking with friends can be a really good time! It's fun to share silly stories and watch bad horror movies together or go on adventures. Having friends around also means that you're not always smoking your weed which may or may not prolong your stash (Depends on how much you guys are smoking!). There are downsides to getting baked with buddies though. Sometimes, there is that one person who never seems to have their own weed and they always seem to smoke yours... Even when they brag about the bag of fire they just bought. If you're such good friends, a packed bowl should be filled by both people, not just always one. Sometimes, friends don't have weed and that's fine but every single time you see them? I'm sorry but they might be using you for your buds. Another bad friend type is the kind that never actually inhales the weed. They just kind of cough all the smoke out of their mouth along with a spray of spit and who knows what else. These are the kinds of friends that you don't need to have around and will only hinder your smoking.
When you're alone, it might be quite but it's a wonderful time to sit back and think. Just to think about life and work in a calm manner. I love to get baked by myself. I don't have to share my weed and it's quiet. There are people who absolutely prefer solitude to groups and there's nothing wrong with it, contrary to what others might think. Just because one prefers to be alone doesn't mean that they're super sad and bummed. Smoking alone provides a good environment for work and things that require focus. While social smoke sessions with the occasional friend are cool and somewhat refreshing, being alone (to me) is more appealing. While there are positives to smoking alone, there are also negatives. Being by yourself can be a bummer when you turn to make a silly comment and remember that no one else is there. It's also a bummer when you look at your weed jar and it's empty and you realize that you smoked it all yourself!
Everyone's personality is different and some are more social than others. Bad experiences also effect a person's ability to smoke with others, especially if a bad situation has been encountered more than once. But a burn cruise with buddies is definitely something that should be done at least once a month! Remember to respect your fellow stoners and their personal choices! Whether you're a social smoker or not, we all love Mary Jane and that's what's important!
Eureka cancels meeting on banning marijuana dispensaries
Category: Dispensaries | Posted on Sat, September, 28th 2013 by THCFinder
The Eureka City Council canceled a special session meeting scheduled for Thursday night, which was called to introduce an amendment to the city's medical marijuana ordinance that would ban cannabis cooperatives, collectives and mobile dispensaries.
”After talking with staff and our city attorney, we decided it would be better to step back and take a look at our report to council and provide them at a regular council meeting a comprehensive report along with a number of alternatives, and then seek direction from council instead of recommending the ordinance modifications,” Assistant City Manager Mike Knight said.
The meeting was also canceled to give the public more advance notice, Knight added.
Councilman Mike Newman said the meeting was called because last week's regular meeting was canceled, and the council thought the ordinance was time sensitive because the current moratorium expires Nov. 3.
The city's medical cannabis ordinance -- passed by a previous council in August 2010 and modified in May 2011 -- regulates personal, residential marijuana grows on a land-use basis and allows for the permitting of four medical marijuana dispensaries. The council extended the existing moratorium, which was first passed in November 2011, for one year last October.
Newman said the amendment will likely be discussed during the council's Oct. 15 meeting.

Unemployment Drug Test Bill Moving In Michigan
Category: News | Posted on Fri, September, 27th 2013 by THCFinder
A bill that would deny unemployment benefits to people who refuse to take drug tests required by employers passed the Republican-dominated Michigan Senate last week and also advanced in the House, being approved by the House Commerce Committee on a 12-4 vote.
The bill, House Bill 4952, moved in the same week Republicans also pressed ahead with another bill aimed at the state’s poorest residents, one requiring food stamp recipients and welfare beneficiaries to participate in community service or other work-related activities or be cut off from assistance. The Republican-led House earlier passed bills that would require drug testing for public assistance and cutting benefits if a child is truant from school.
Democrats and civil libertarians denounced the bills as part of the GOP’s “war on the poor.”
“Wholesale drug testing without suspicion is simply illegal,” said Shelli Weisberg, spokeswoman for the American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan. “If we’re going down the road of drug testing for people who receive benefits, then we better start drug testing legislators.”
Rep. Jon Switalski (D-Warrant) offered an amendment to do just that, but it failed.
“If the majority feels that drug testing for people on the public dole is good policy, then it’s clearly in the interest of good public policy to test all of us on the public dole,” he said. “But this is a bill about the elections in 2014 and nothing else.”
