NYC Mayor Bloomberg Calls Medical Marijuana a "Great Hoax"

One prominent politician is apparently not buying into the push to legalize pot.
New York City Mayor Bloomberg described efforts to legalize medical marijuana as one of the greatest scams in history.
"Medical, my foot," he said. "There's no medical. This is one of the great hoaxes of all time."
He addressed the topic while speaking on his weekly radio show, The New York Post reported.
"The bottom line is, I'm told marijuana is much stronger today than it was 20 or 30 years ago. And number two, drug dealers have families to feed. If they can't sell marijuana, they'll sell something else. And the something else is gonna be worse. And, the push to legalize this is just wrongheaded."
"If you think about it, they say, 'Oh well it's not gonna hurt anybody, it doesn't lead to dependency. Of course it does. You can argue about recreational things, but it's a very slippery path.
Much like other politicians before him, Mayor Bloomberg admitted to smoking pot in his younger days. It sounds like he may have actually inhaled.
"You bet I did — and I enjoyed it," he said when asked if he had experimented with marijuana.

The Tennessee Pot Cave

To fall for Mary Jane means your going to fall hard.
Shes so easy to love, and its not uncommon for everyday clients to have a deep longing for her. In this particular case its about 40 feet deep and hidden underground. A Tennessee home was discovered to be the secret hide out to a huge underground marijuana grow operation. This awesome estate was coined ”The Tennessee Pot Cave”. There’s no doubt that running Mary Jane operations like this are illegal, and very illegal at that.
When Many people see vibrant green cannabis they cant help but to associate it with temping green money.
This was the case here, and a super intense plan was executed very efficiently for growing marijuana.
This was not your everyday hand built grow box in the basement, but a carefully, and accurately designed plan to make big money from selling sticky buds. There was a sealed passageway in the home that lead down 40 feet, which took you to a marijuana oasis complete with a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. This guy was selling in style and you bet he could afford it.
Altogether this buddha business was most likely bringing in 6 to 8 million green bills per year.
This type of dough isn’t produced without plenty of product and he was said to produce 100 pounds or more each harvest. That’s a lot of weed to say the least, and you can tell there was no game playing only bud growing.
With everything functioning to the T, there was a full irrigation system set to water about 500 plants ranging in sizes of 6-12 feet, as well as another 500 plants about 6 feet tall. The underground trippy cavern was equipped with the proper climate control and lighting to accommodate such lengths. One can only imagine how much money housing something like that costs, but the mind behind the idea, Fred Strunk did.
He decided to let the community help with his Mary Jane operations and began stealing power from the county.
This devious action would eventually be the one to get him raided and shut down. The power company became privy to the changes in their spliced electricity and contacted the police. Once the investigation began it was only a matter of time before the Tennessee Pot Cave was exposed.
The entrance way from the outside of the house to the marijuana quarters was cleverly hidden under what seemed to be an ordinary over-sized rock.
Fred Strunk plead guilty in March of 2006 to growing shit loads of sweet MJ along with theft an money laundering.
Mr. Green Thumb was sentenced to 18 years for the selling of the trees and another 12 for theft. Seems like a pretty harsh punishment, but Strunk was eligible for parole after serving 5 years of his sentence.
The Pot Cave was set fire to in December of 2006 in a mysterious string of events that led to everyone believing there was more to the cave than what was released to the public. Still the monumental growing areas were still intact and in 2007 the state auctioned off the estate for $285,000.000.
This type of growing takes more than dedication, but also a serious amount of cash and an intense love for highly criminal situations.
The Tennessee Pot Cave will forever go down in history as one of the biggest cannabis growing operations, and one of the best disguised ones as well. Possibly the biggest pot bust in history.
Wash. police dogs not smelling marijuana anymore
Category: News | Posted on Fri, May, 31st 2013 by THCFinder
BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) — Some police departments in Washington state have stopped training their new dogs to sniff around for marijuana after voters last fall legalized recreational pot use.
Other departments are planning or in the midst of retraining veteran dogs to ignore marijuana.
The law decriminalized possession of up to an ounce of the drug for individuals over 21 years old. It also barred the distribution and growth of marijuana outside the state-approved system.
Police say that having a K-9 unit that doesn’t alert to pot will lessen challenges to obtaining search warrants because the dog won’t be pointing out possible legal amounts of the drug.
But some observers say police shouldn’t be making any changes because officers will still need to investigate illegal growing operations, as well as pot use and possession.
