Bill To Expand New Jersey Medical Marijuana Law Advances Despite Veto Threat

Medical marijuana legislation has advanced in New Jersey that would expand the state’s medical marijuana program, despite a vow from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie that he would veto the bill. The New Jersey Assembly passed the bill 50-23. According to the bill, the legislation “Permits qualifying patients to possess and use medical marijuana legally obtained from another jurisdiction; extends State medical marijuana laws to qualifying out-of-State patients; expands ability of parents to serve as primary caregiver to minor children.”
The medical marijuana bill still has to be sent to the New Jersey Senate, and if passed, would be sent to Governor Chris Christie’s desk. He may veto it, but he is going to look like a heartless, un-compassionate A hole if he does. Governor Christie can throw around all the rhetoric he wants, but at the end of the day, he will be slapping suffering patients in the face. No child should have to suffer so that a politician can cling to failed policies.
The New Jersey medical marijuana program is the worst operating in the nation. There are only three dispensaries for the entire state, very few people qualify for the program, and there is not enough medicine to go around to the patients that do qualify. There are no home gardens allowed. I get so many e-mails from patients in New Jersey complaining about medicine access problems. It breaks my heart that I can’t help them.
“We don’t want to watch our child die because the department of health and Christie are blocking the program,” a parent who helped draft the bill said. “If they want to play politics with people’s health, let them as it will come back to haunt them. But in the meantime, don’t block our ability to get the life saving medicine my child needs from another source.”
Females Still Missing From The Cannabis Community
Category: Culture | Posted on Wed, December, 25th 2013 by THCFinder
It's not a secret that there seems to be a strange absence of females in the marijuana community. There have been a few articles that have appeared, regarding why females distance themselves from cannabis. When looking through the social media pages, one might stumble upon one or two ladies that can roll up a crazy tarantula blunt, while there may be five guys who do the same thing. For every one female cannabis grower, there's at least ten male growers. Is it the image of the female in the community or do girls just not like pot?
The image of females in the cannabis community is one that most people know I'm not fond of. While being able to understand that sex does sell in the media today, I stand by the fact that we cannot market marijuana as a medicine if it is presented by mostly naked females. Pharmaceuticals may not be truthful and the pills may not work but they understand that medicine is not sexy. Since most females involved in the cannabis community use their bodies and looks to gain popularity, it's the ones that avoid those actions that get pushed to the side. When no one pays attention to the women who are actually attempting to make a difference, those women tend to lose their momentum and slowly fade in to the background, rather than the spot where they belong, at the front of the cannabis movement.
Marijuana was also said to effect women in a severely negative way when smoked, back when the word "marijuana" still contained an "h". Perhaps that it is this negative scare tactic that makes women uneasy to admit that they smoke cannabis. Or perhaps women are just too afraid to attempt to establish themselves in the community, since marijuana is a cause that is primarily dominated by males. The stereotype has been around for so long that it may be permanently ingrained in people's memories, much like the negative marijuana stereotypes in general. Unfortunately, even when looking at other industries such as alcohol and tobacco, the women involved always seem to take a backseat. Perhaps it is just the absurd media, dictating gender roles.
Everyone who loves marijuana should be able to be involved equally. Female growers deserve recognition just like male growers. Females need to get involved and be proud of the intellectual contributions that they can bring to the legalization of cannabis. There are some girls who, as said above, will use themselves to promote... Well... Themselves and there are others who will try to promote cannabis to the best of their abilities, in the most positive way possible. Come on, ladies!

Medicated Mac & Cheese
Category: Recipes | Posted on Tue, December, 24th 2013 by THCFinder
Every stoner knows that mac and cheese makes a pretty awesome snack when you've been sitting around smoking. As always, food is usually much better if it contains cannabis. So medicating your mac and cheese is definitely a worthwhile venture. Not only that but this recipe is homemade so it's much healthier than the stuff from the store!
What You'll Need;
1 cup Velveeta, cut into cubes
½ cup shredded mild Cheddar Cheese
1 Pound Elbow Macaroni
½ cup of fresh grated parmesan cheese
½ cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
½ cup shredded Monterey Jack
½ cup shredded Cheese Cheddar and Jack
7 grams of top shelf cannabis (ground in a coffee grinder and placed in the cheese cloth)
1 cup of Italian Bread Crumbs
¼ cup seasoned salt
2 Sticks of butter
3 cups half-half
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter a casserole dish thoroughly. take a small pot and add the half and half, along with the ground up cannabis, which should be bundled up in the cheesecloth (use a rubber band to close the top of the bundle). Put the heat on low and let it steep for about 45 minutes. Don't let this mix boil, as the half and half will curd and you will end up loosing some of the THC that you're trying to obtain. When the 45 minutes are up, remove the cannabis bundle. In a separate larger pot, boil salter water and add the macaroni and the oil. Cook them together until the macaroni is cooked well but be sure to avoid overcooking. It should be done in about 7 minutes. In a bowl, mix together the bread crumbs and the parmesan cheese, as well as a bit of melted butter. Then, in a large bowl, mix all of the ingredients together including the rest of the butter. Season this mixture with salt and pepper. Add everything to the buttered casserole dish and give the top a generous sprinkling of parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Put the dish in the oven and cook it for about 3 minutes, until the edges begin to bubble. Remove and let cool before serving! Enjoy your awesome medicated mac and cheese!
