Pineapple Express strain review with pictures

Category: Nugs | Posted on Mon, February, 25th 2013 by THCFinder

Pineapplex Express - Hybrid

Descendant of Californias Pineapple, this strain is so good it has a movie named after it. This superbud tastes of pineapple, pine, and cedar. It is a hard hitting Sativa with a very energetic high that has a subtle citrus overtone.

Strain Name: Pineapple Express

Date Acquired: October 2, 2011

Grade: B+

Type: Sativa

Looks: Well cured super triched out mustard yellow marijuana nuggets that weighed like Styrofoam popcorn.

Smell: Much more "dank" versus "sweet." A considerable "funk" scent with some citrus overtones.

Taste: A strong dank inhale with a hint of pineapple on the exhale that lingers shortly on the after taste.

Buzz Type: Heavy head buzz, energetic, focus.

Buzz Length: Average to Above Average (1 to 1.5 Hours)

Summary:

* Interesting... I've been fortunate to "have" Pineapple Express before, but this has to be the "dankest" version of this strain I've ever had. I did not get that solid pineapple taste that "wowed" me with this strain when I was able to obtain it in the past. This has a very strong scent too. An open container will leave the area smelly with a strong lingering "dank" scent.

The buzz for me was mostly heavy head tingle with the tingle felt mostly right in the back of the eye area and tip of the nose. I had a feeling as if it felt as if there as a "haze" covering my eyes. Somewhat of a dry eye effect causing a bit red "itchiness."

This version of Pineapple Express was mostly hit me in the cerebral region with the medication slightly felt through out the rest of my body. The heaviness provided a "harder" come down as usual with Sativa strains as a few times when coming off the buzz, I was very lethargic and sleepy.

This batch was not as tasty, but was more "stoney." They key negative for me and ailments is consistently it just falls short on legs. It's somewhat like a bell curve or roller coaster for me. I shoot up real fast, but staying up there is about 30-40 minutes max with a serious crashing come down. Thus, if this is my only Sativa strain on hand during the day, reloads would be much more as compared to other flower varieties such as Super Silver Haze and Green Crack.

Overall, Pineapple Express is not a bad strain, but not a really great strain. I'd consider it a benchmark strain and one worthy of having at least once since it was made so popular by pop culture. Then again, maybe it's due to this strain's reference so often in pop culture that I have such high expectations for it.

Cheers (& Cough),

Bill unveiled to legalize medical pot

Category: News | Posted on Mon, February, 25th 2013 by THCFinder
Flanked by more than 150 advocates from around the country, Oregon Democrat Earl Blumenauer on Monday put forward his legislation allowing states to legalize medical marijuana in an effort to end the confusion surrounding federal pot policy.
Blumeanuer’s legislation, which has 13 co-sponsors — including GOP Rep. Dana Rohrabacher of California — would create a framework for the FDA to eventually legalize medicinal marijuana. It would also block the feds from interfering in any of the 19 states where medical marijuana is legal.

At a press conference outside the Capitol, Blumenauer didn’t attack the Drug Enforcement Agency for targeting marijuana dispensaries or blame the Justice Department for forcing marijuana businesses to operate in a legal gray zone. Instead, he pitched his legislation as a solution to the confusion surrounding federal marijuana policy.

Oklahoma medical marijuana bill granted hearing

Category: News | Posted on Mon, February, 25th 2013 by THCFinder
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A bill to legalize the medical use of marijuana in Oklahoma has been granted a hearing in a Senate committee.

The bill by Democratic Sen. Constance Johnson of Oklahoma City will be considered Monday by the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, where it'll likely face stiff opposition.

Johnson has introduced several measures over the last several years to ease the penalties for marijuana possession, but they typically have not even been granted a hearing.

Tulsa Republican Sen. Brian Crain chairs the panel and says that while he personally opposes the idea, he agreed to hear the bill because of Johnson's persistence.

The bill would allow a qualified patient or designated caregiver to possess up to eight ounces of dried marijuana and 12 plants.
