Bubblegum Buds

Category: Nugs | Posted on Tue, February, 12th 2013 by THCFinder

Bubblegum - Indica

The Bubble Gum originated in Indiana in the 1970s. After making the rounds in the States, the genetics were taken to Holland during the 1990s, where a stable interbred variety was developed. Named Bubble Gum from the start, this variety quickly acquired a reputation for its sweetness, so much that the name "Bubble Gum" has been widely borrowed for all sorts of seeds and weed. The winner of many accolades, Bubble Gum has placed repeatedly in the High Times Cannabis Cup: 3rd place in 1994 for best coffeeshop product, 2nd place for best bioproduct and 2nd for the overall Cannabis Cup in 1995, and 2nd place again in 1999 for the overall Cannabis Cup.

Sour Diesel Strain Review

Category: Nugs | Posted on Tue, February, 12th 2013 by THCFinder

Sour Diesel - Sativa

A sativa-dominant hybrid, Sour Diesel has a Diesel / candy-like smell and a very distinct taste. Great for energy and focus, and works well in the daytime when you have to get things done.

Strain Name:  Sour Diesel

Date Acquired:  March 20, 2012 & March 31, 2012

Grade:  A

Type: Sativa

Looks:  Thick, pellet like marijuana nugget deep green in color covered in sugary trichs.

Smell:  Light hint of fuel; like gasoline vapor with hints of pine and lemon.

Taste:  Sour lemon.

Buzz Type:  Mellowing and relaxing full body buzz with slight bit of headiness. Creativity enhanced.

Buzz Length:  Above Average to Very Long (1.5 to 2+ hours)

Summary:

*  It's been a while since I medicated with some Sour Diesel. The smell and taste is as classic as this strain itself. One hit blindfolded and you would know it is Sour D. Body tingle intensifies over the duration of the high to the point it felt like a million ants are crawling on me for a few minutes. Then, I would just cruise into a state of mellowness.

Sour Diesel is also a very relaxing strain at which I found I tapped into my creative side.

This batch of Sour Diesel was a bit heavy and that heaviness can be powerful. I actually found myself dozing off a few times on this Sativa dominant strain. I kind of like that since that heaviness kind of works with the "tingle."

Sour Diesel is a tasty strain. I would always think; "powdered lemon candy sticks." Really large packed bowls did provide a more dank fuel like and very sour taste that I found could be a bit strong leaving an overbearing after taste.

Larger marijuana nuggets looked very "thick," but were "delicate" to the touch.

Overall, Sour Diesel is a nice classic strain, but I did smoke this batch fast. I refilled with this same batch twice and medicated with twice as many flowers within the same time frame as my Indica strain such as Spartacus OG. This batch would be an A+ strain if not for going through a fill so fast. Otherwise, this is a nice rendition of really a now "classic" strain.

Cancer Patient Supports NC Medical Marijuana Bill

Category: Medical Marijuana | Posted on Tue, February, 12th 2013 by THCFinder
Greensboro, NC -- Imagine being 21 years old, paralyzed from the waist down, and living with chronic pain. It's a reality for Chris Westmoreland.

"The tumor just keeps growing. And it presses against the spinal cord, which is a neurological pain, so regular pain killers, such as Oxycontin or even Ibuprofen, none of them work because it's a neurological pain, not a muscular pain," said Westmoreland.

Westmoreland was diagnosed with a rare, cancerous tumor three years ago. He was 18 years old at the time, and he couldn't finish college or continue to work.

Westmoreland can't have any more radiation -- he's maxed out.

He's tried six different chemotherapy drugs that didn't work and all types of pain killers, with side effects that actually made him prefer to deal with the pain.

Last week, Guilford County State Representative Pricey Harrison co-sponsored the North Carolina Medical Cannabis Act. The bill would let doctors prescribe marijuana to patients with debilitating medical conditions, including cancer, arthritis and hypertension. It would establish an identification system that would be monitored by the Department of Health and Human Services.

The bill also outlines a distribution and supply system, which would be run by the NC Department of Agriculture.

And it would give patients, their caregivers, doctors, suppliers and distributors immunity from criminal prosecution.

Harrison said she has a personal reason to support this legislation. Her sister had a brain tumor and said synthetic marijuana eased her pain.

Westmoreland agrees that medical marijuana could be the only thing to help him.

He said, at this point, he knows he'll die. However, he doesn't want to spend more money on expensive medicine that might not work or spend every day laying in bed, suffering needlessly.

Westmoreland said if medical marijuana was legalized in North Carolina, it might give him a chance go back to school, back to work and have a decent quality of life.

"There's a whole bunch of things that medical marijuana could open up for me, if I know I'm not going to be crying at night because it hurts so much," he said.

Local delivery company in Colorado raided by police

Category: News | Posted on Tue, February, 12th 2013 by THCFinder
Two weeks ago we brought you the tale of marijuana home-delivery service Billygoatgreen MMJ. The company sought to slip through the section in Amendment 64 prohibiting receiving remuneration in exchange for cannabis by providing the substance for free and taking "donations" for growth and research instead.

It's a gray area with plenty of risk, as attorney Brian Vicente confirmed in our story. But as we also quoted Lt. Mark Comte with the Colorado Springs Police Department's Metro Vice, Narcotics and Intelligence Division, "If I show up at your house with less than an ounce of marijuana, I'm 21, you're 21, and I say, 'Hey dude, it cost me 50 bucks in gas to get over here,' and you give me 50 bucks for my gas, there's nothing illegal."

Well, maybe not, but either way, in the last couple days, owners of the service were contacted by police, arrested and charged with distribution, according to a post on Billygoatgreen's Facebook page.

"we met with a high profile lawyer and he says if we fight it and loose were looking at LIFE in PRISON!!!!! out on bail waiting for court dates," reads the statement posted yesterday. "they are using a undercover police boyfriend and girlfriend to trick people on craigslist. DET.Lemkool is the name of the undercover cop. first they say its legal to donate then arrest you and your looking at life in prison. not so sure that sounds fair"
