How To Make Cannabis Glycerin In One Day
Category: Medical Marijuana | Posted on Tue, April, 29th 2014 by THCFinder
When making concentrates like tinctures, most people tend to use alcohol. Unfortunately, that can produce severe burning effects and can cause sickness in those with sensitive stomachs. Thankfully, there's an alternative for alcohol that tastes much better and can be made start to finish in one day. The recipe is incredibly simple and can be made in your kitchen with just a few simple supplies.
What You'll Need;
Large mason jar
16oz of food grade vegetable glycerin
1oz of dried sugar leaf (or 3/4oz dry buds)
1 sheet of cheesecloth
Grind up the weed that you're using, whether it be sugar leaf or buds. For this step, it's a good idea to use a blender, as breaking up the marijuana really allows the glycerine to soak in to it. The cannabis shouldn't be like sand so much, but just very small pieces. Take the ground cannabis and put it in the mason jar. Then, pour in the entire 16oz of glycerin. Close the jar and be sure to seal it tightly before shaking it until it is as well mixed as possible.
The next step is to set up a double boiler, which is where you fill the sauce pan half way with water and set the pot on a burner, set to low. Do not boil the water. It should just be hot enough for the THC and CBD in the cannabis to become active. The key is to simmer, not boil. Let this process go on for about 8 hours so be sure to make this substance on a day where you don't have anything to do. The recommended time is 12 hours but it just has to be at least 8. Every half hour or so, you should take the jar and shake it vigorously. Use oven mitts, please! Once you've allowed at least 8 hours to pass, take the tincture off of the burned and remove the lid. You can set aside the flat part of the lid but hang on to the part that actually screws on top of the jar.
Take the sheet of cheesecloth and fold it two or three times over, then place it on top of the mouth of the jar, screwing the circular part of the lid back on. Flip the jar upside down over a clean bowl and allow it to drain until there is nothing left in the jar. This takes a while so be patient. Be sure to wear gloves when coming in to contact with the substance, as glycerin is a conductor and gets EXTREMELY hot when it's heated up. When the mixture has filtered fully, take the cheesecloth and squeeze it, making sure to get all of the remaining glycerin out of the cloth and remaining plant matter. Store the substance in an airtight, unclear (brown or blue) container and be sure to keep it out of the sunlight. You can add the glycerin to normal soda to make it medicated or put it in to food, candies, or eat it straight! Glycerin can also be rubbed on skin for muscle pain, although it can be really sticky! Enjoy!

Tommy Chong To Get His Own Brand Of Marijuana In Colorado
Category: Celebrities | Posted on Mon, April, 28th 2014 by THCFinder
In a move that seems to be a no-brainer, a marijuana store in Pueblo, Colorado has entered into an agreement with Tommy Chong to use his name and product endorsements at their store. The deal includes a marijuana strain that will be developed and named after Tommy Chong, as well as other products.
The store that Tommy Chong is partnering up with is called ‘Marisol Therapeutics’, which I’m assuming is going to see a huge increase in business due to the partnership they have with Tommy Chong. It’s reported that the strain and products carrying the Tommy Chong brand will be high CBD related. This is great news for people that want the medical benefits of CBD. Although, I wish there was another strain bred for high THC. I guess only time will tell if that happens.
This is not the first time that Tommy Chong has done endorsements with the marijuana industry. The first one that comes to mind for me was the now infamous ‘Chong Bongs’ that he did in the early 2000′s. That endorsement deal resulted in Tommy Chong serving a stint in prison, even though he didn’t make them. Hopefully the feds don’t try to make an example out of him again due to his new deal.
Contrary to initial reports, Tommy Chong does not own Marisol Therapeutics, nor is he an investor in the shop. Colorado law requires all investments in marijuana businesses be made by someone who has been a Colorado resident for at least two years. I won’t be surprised to see more marijuana celebrities getting endorsement deals. If anyone wants to create a ‘Johnny Green’ line of products, feel free to contact me. Although, I don’t think I’ll bring 1/100th of the star power that Tommy Chong does
