How To Tell A Movie Wasn't Made By Stoners

Category: Fun | Posted on Fri, November, 8th 2013 by THCFinder
Have you ever noticed in movies that involved smoking, sometimes it seems a little off? Like maybe the characters aren't the potheads they're supposed to be? It's easy to tell when a movie wasn't made by someone who smokes. Here are a couple of the ways that the writers can mess up when writing a pothead flick.
1. If someone buys a quarter from a dealer in a movie, which as most know is 7 grams, and the bag is either huge or teeny tiny, they messed up. All stoners are pretty familiar with what a bag looks like when it contains 7 grams. When someone hands off a seriously light looking bag, most of the time, stoners will call it out.
2. Smoking a bong requires that the slide be removed... Right? Some have a built in carb somewhere, usually in the back of the piece where the thumb is. But usually, glass bongs especially, don't have the built in carb. When an actor hits the bongs and then sets it down immediately without removing the bowl piece, it wasn't a real hit.
3. Over portraying stoner stereotypes is a sure way to get found out that the movie wasn't made by potheads. Actors and actresses that take the role too far are too obvious. Playing the stoner can only be played by a true stoner. When a person takes the pothead part too far, it's just not believable.
4. Being able to go about daily tasks as a pothead is usually pretty easy. While some potheads do go off on adventures with friends and sometimes get lost, taking an entire night to get to White Castle isn't the logical... Although at least they can still make this scenario funny. The situation is exaggerated but stoners can still laugh at it without feeling like they've been portrayed the wrong way.
5. Pot plants only grow under certain conditions. In some movies, the characters carry pot plants in to ridiculous situations, such as car rides. While I'm sure that a plant can survive for a small amount of time in a vehicle to be transported, carrying around a marijuana plant in the car is not smart, nor is it good for the plant.
Have you seen something off in one of your favorite pothead movies? If so, email it to me at for a second installment of this piece!

Cannabis Can Treat Bladder Pain, Inflammation

Category: Medical Marijuana | Posted on Fri, November, 8th 2013 by THCFinder
cannabis-helps-treat-diff-ailementsA new study published in the Journal of Neurology has found that activation of the body’s CB2 receptors has the potential to treat bladder pain and inflammation, and can increase bladder urinary frequency.
For the study, researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison used mouse models to examine whether or not activation of CB2 receptors (something which cannabis does naturally) can treat serious bladder issues; the results were quite clear that it does.
“Treatment with a selective CB2 agonist reduced severity of established acrolein-induced cystitis and inhibited bladder inflammation-associated increased referred mechanical sensitivity and increased bladder urinary frequency”, states the study’s abstract.
Researchers conclude: “Our data indicate that CB2 receptor is a potential therapeutic target for treatment of painful inflammatory bladder diseases.”

Medicated Rocky Road

Category: Recipes | Posted on Fri, November, 8th 2013 by THCFinder
Treats like this make great gifts. They're able to be wrapped up and tied with a bow, delivered to friends and family (If they so choose to medicate). Since Halloween has passed and the next holidays include lots of eating, it makes sense to make some Rocky Road for the holidays. Or maybe not for the holidays... Maybe you just want these treats for yourself!
What You'll Need;
5 tablespoons of cannabutter
1 cup unsalted nuts (you can pick your favorite)
2 1/2 cups of chocolate chips
4 cups marshmallows cut in half (get white and pink marshmallows!)
1/2 cup cherries
1/2 toasted coconut
Get a cookie tin and use 1 tablespoon of the cannabutter to grease the pan. The rest of the cannabutter is for the recipe itself. After that's done, take the chocolate chips and put them in a bowl in the microwave. Heat them up until they melt, stirring them every 30 seconds until they're liquid. Add the remaining cannabutter to the chocolate chips and continue to heat for 15 more seconds or until the butter melts. Once everything has melted, stir together well.
After the chocolate and butter have been mixed, pour in the marshmallows, nuts, coconut, and cherries until everything is even. Your mixture will look somewhat like a tar pit with things still stuck in it. Pour your mixture on to the pan that you have set up. Then, stick it in the fridge! Let it sit in there until it's firm! Then, cut the treats in to medium squares. Ready to be served! Enjoy!
