Green Crack - Sativa

Green Crack was originally bred in Athens, GA in the 1970s with the birth name of Cush. It was later renamed "Green Crack" by none other than Snoop Dogg because of its extreme potency and the crave to keep smoking it. Green Crack is extremely popular in Southern California with both medical marijuana patients for its strong sativa effects, and recreational users who love its sweet taste and happy high. Green Crack has a medium-green color punctuated with orange and bluish hairs. It has a tangy, fruity smell (thus the nickname "Mango") and the taste is sweet as well. There are two strains of Green Crack: one that is almost pure Sativa and one that is 75% Indica. The better known phenom is the sativa dominant strain, and the only sign of indica genetics being present are the tight nugs.

Strain Name: Green Crack (THCF)
Sample Acquired: February 20, 2013
Medicated Date: February 22, 2013
Device Used: Mobius Reti Perc Bubbler
Grade: A-
Type: Sativa
Looks: I had a couple very small marijuana nuggets and one larger nice one; all very coated in flaky trichomes with protruding "orange hair."
Smell: An earthy funk with slight overtones of mango, pineapple and fermented fruit.
Taste: A bit tropical and fruit salad like, leaving a bit of a fruity after taste. Larger bowl fills produced a tastier hit.
Buzz Type: Energetic, Mental Clarity, Muscle Relaxation
Buzz Length: Average to Above Average (1 to 1.5 hours)
* Review is "First Impression" as product provided was a sample and used exclusively for one day.
I've had several batches of Green Crack as this strain hit the scene "big" several years back, but its been awhile since I've medicated with it myself.
On first bowl in my bubbler, I was welcomed with some nice cerebral pressure on the temples with slight headiness (tingle). That "tingle" coupled with pressure provided me with some decent pain relief along with a strong sense of awareness I've had batches that were very heady, but the sample I received in this batch was very balanced although the intensity of the buzz did creep up on me. Before I knew it, my entire body was encapsulated in "tingle," but not so strong as if covered with "crawling ants." I personally like that super tingle feeling where as others find it a bit to much thus, this batch of Green Crack should satisfy most as ultimately, that balanced tingle provided me with some well needed muscle relaxation.
This sample of Green Crack provided me mental clarity, but was I not very focused. I found it a bit difficult to work on one project at a time. Working inside, I wanted to be outside. This is definitely a Sativa where I had the desire to be outdoors.
This batch of Green Crack was solid although I did wish it had a bit more legs. The main marijuana nugget was tight, but a bit flaky when breaking up (trichs were like flaky "crust.") I really had to load up a bowl to catch some good flavor, but big hits in my bubbler also produced a "spicy" hit to the back of the throat which was a bit harsh on a couple hits. I was left with a slight bit of dry mouth, but nothing intolerable where I had to grab for water (liquid), but I did crave a good beer and quenched my thirst with a Blue Moon.
Whether you love it or hate (the Green Crack name), Green Crack is a must try strain for Sativa fans.
Cheers (& Cough),

Phantom OG strain review with pics

Phantom OG - Indica

Strain Name: Phantom OG
From: Greener Pastures Collective (GPC)
Grade: A+
Type: Indica
Looks: Small, but tight popcorn looking marijuana nuggets full of "red hair."
Smell: A "nutty evergreen" and menthol.
Taste: My taste buds were hit with very smooth "earthy" overtones. A hint of cinnamon spice/sugar was present too and left with a sweet sugary like aftertaste.
Buzz Type: Full body relaxation, a "floaty" and "happy" high with very good pain relief.
Buzz Length: Above Average - Very Long (1.5 to 2+ hours)
* I am usually not a fan of "small" marijuana nuggets, but these were very dense and tight. Most were sized just large enough when scissored, my bowl was perfectly filled. It's as if each nug was like an individual serving size.
Phantom OG made my head feel like a basketball and Shaq was palming it. This strain provided me with some strong front full face tingle, but with heavy "pressure" behind the eyes. The feeling was very "floaty" as if I was on top of "soft clouds."
Phantom OG did not couch lock me, but was very good at tackling pain. For example, my over worked calves were killing me one day and a post work out regime including this strain went right to the pain. My pain subsided greatly.
For me this is definitely a "chill out" strain. This suited me best during the early evening hours (after work and before bed). I enjoyed a bowl while winding down for the evening while watch some late night television. Phantom OG did make me a bit giggly at times too. Being up late one night, I was watching "History of the World: Part 1" - laughed at the entire movie so hard and loud I woke up my sleeping family.
Near the end of my refill, I started to also use this strain during the day. Being very intense and under a lot of pressure with my "real" job, Phantom OG was able to put me back on proper track.
Phantom OG is nice top shelf strain which actually became my "go to" strain when on hand. This is definitely one to check out.
Cheers (& Cough),
