Strain Review; Cheese

Category: Nugs | Posted on Thu, December, 26th 2013 by THCFinder

The Cheese strain is one of those that turns people away based on it's smell. Most of the variations of the strain also carry the pungent scent of Cheese but trust me, don't be deterred. Cheese is considered one of the best strains around by many stoners. While the smell may be enough to make you say "no thanks", the taste is fruity and extremely enjoyable. Trust me, Cheese is something that all stoners are sure to love.

Prominently indica, Cheese can have a THC content of up to 20%. It's extremely potent and not for the light weight smoker, who run the risk of being stuck on the couch or in bed if they smoke too much. It was developed by Royal Dutch Genetics and is a cross between Master Kush and Super Skunk. Most of the time, the buds are varying shades of green and flower in about 8-10 weeks, making it a favorite of growers as well.

Cheese is great for patients with pain, anxiety, or problems sleeping. As said above, the strain is very potent so it's good for those with severe afflictions. The high provides a euphoric feeling, giving the user the chance to forget the anxiety or pain that they're dealing with. Cheese is highly recommended for those having issues sleeping as well, with the higher THC content being able to put a patient to sleep when needed. Definitely keep Cheese around if you're someone who suffers from any of the above afflictions or just keep it around since it's one of the most well known, well liked strains around!

Fire OG - Hybrid

Widely regarded as the most potent of the OG strains, Fire OG Kush delivers some of the most frosted buds known to the medical marijuana community. Pristinely crossed with the original OG Kush strain and the F2 hybrid, San Fernando Valley OG Kush, Raskals OG has truly gifted the MMJ industry with one of the best medicinal strains around. These buds look like snow-covered mountains with dancing flames of wildfire sparsely strewn about the foliage.

kief-lime-pie-recipe
Whether you're planning on making this in to a holiday dessert or you just feel like making a delicious dessert, key lime pie is always a good choice. Except this recipe calls for that extra ingredient that we all love; cannabis! Hence why it's called "kief" lime pie! I promise that you'll love this medicated pie and as always, the recipe is fairly simple!

What You'll Need;
3 teaspoons Lime Zest
1 cup Sugar
1 package Gelatin, Unflavored
Lime Slices
1/2 cup Pistachio Nuts, Shelled, Unsalted
4 Eggs, Separated
1/2 teaspoon Salt
Sweetened Whipping Cream
1/4 cup Water
1 cup Whipping Cream
1/2 cup Lime Juice

Crust;
1 cup Pastry Flour, Whole Wheat
1/4 cup Cannabutter, Softened
1/4 cup Raw Sugar
1 large Egg Yolk
Pinch of Salt

Start by combining the water and the gelatin. Allow the mix to soften for five minutes and then mix in the egg yolks, lime juice, salt, and half of the sugar. Put on the stove over medium heat and stir continuously. Once the mix is about to start boiling, remove the pan from the heat and add in the 2 tsp of lime zest. Pour the mixture in to a bowl and chill it in the fridge until it takes on a jelly like texture. Slowly add the remaining sugar to the mix and whip it until stiff peaks form on the surface. Fold the mixture in to the crust (directions below) and put the pie in the fridge until the pie has set. Spread some extra sweetened whipped cream over the pie and place the slices of fresh lime around the edge. In the center of the pie, sprinkle some pistachios and the remaining lime zest.

For the crust, blend the butter and the flour until the mixture turns grainy. Then blend in the salt, sugar, and egg yolks together. Once they've mixed, beat in the flour/butter mixture. Cover the bowl and put in the refrigerator for two hours. Work the dough in the pie pan with slightly buttery fingers. Poke multiple holes in the bottom and sides with a fork so that the steam has somewhere to escape. Bake the crust in 400 degree heat for about 20 minutes, until solid.

Bill To Expand New Jersey Medical Marijuana Law Advances Despite Veto Threat

Category: Medical Marijuana | Posted on Wed, December, 25th 2013 by THCFinder
bill-for-nj-mmjMedical marijuana legislation has advanced in New Jersey that would expand the state’s medical marijuana program, despite a vow from New Jersey Governor Chris Christie that he would veto the bill. The New Jersey Assembly passed the bill 50-23. According to the bill, the legislation “Permits qualifying patients to possess and use medical marijuana legally obtained from another jurisdiction; extends State medical marijuana laws to qualifying out-of-State patients; expands ability of parents to serve as primary caregiver to minor children.”

The medical marijuana bill still has to be sent to the New Jersey Senate, and if passed, would be sent to Governor Chris Christie’s desk. He may veto it, but he is going to look like a heartless, un-compassionate A hole if he does. Governor Christie can throw around all the rhetoric he wants, but at the end of the day, he will be slapping suffering patients in the face. No child should have to suffer so that a politician can cling to failed policies.

The New Jersey medical marijuana program is the worst operating in the nation. There are only three dispensaries for the entire state, very few people qualify for the program, and there is not enough medicine to go around to the patients that do qualify. There are no home gardens allowed. I get so many e-mails from patients in New Jersey complaining about medicine access problems. It breaks my heart that I can’t help them.

“We don’t want to watch our child die because the department of health and Christie are blocking the program,” a parent who helped draft the bill said. “If they want to play politics with people’s health, let them as it will come back to haunt them. But in the meantime, don’t block our ability to get the life saving medicine my child needs from another source.”
