Cannabis and Exercise

cannabis-and-excersise
While there is still the negative stereotype that stoners are lazy and can't seem to get off the couch, most stoners today are the healthiest people around. Not only does cannabis get you high but it's good for you to ingest the raw leaves in drinks, good for the skin, and apparently helps with exercising as well. Now, a plant that has medical reasons plus these should definitely be put to use in the American society, especially if cannabis would help reduce the amount of unhealthy people in the world.

A study done that was recently released stated that the body's storage of the THC chemical can give exercisers and extra boost, up to almost a month after smoking. As you exercise, you burn off fat. Since THC is a fat-soluble chemical, these bursting fat cells release small amounts of THC back in to your system. The body the starts to feel the effects of smoking a small bowl full of cannabis. Marijuana has constantly been in sports news lately, debating on if the plant helps or hinders athletes in their respective sport.

When you work out, do you notice that you feel good? Like you're happy, positive, and your body just feels amazing? That's because when you exercise, the brain activates the same system that releases endocannabinoids. So when you exercise, you're actually getting the same feelings as when you smoke a bowl. Scientists think that this bodily response to exercise is a way for the body to reduce the feeling of pain when working out. Obviously when you exercise, you stretch muscles and strain your systems. By producing these endocannabinoids, the body fights pain and gives you that "runners high" feeling.

Well, this information will be good for those of you with serious cases of munchies. Those who use cannabis on a regular basis have shown to have fasting insulin levels that are 16% lower than those who don't smoke (fasting insulin is the insulin in your body before ingesting food). The study also pointed out that cannabis smokers had a 17% lower insulin resistance level, not to mention lower waist size average. Basically, cannabis is being looked at as a way to help make the metabolism work faster.

One could definitely use this to argue that cannabis is definitely a help to those who play sports and smoke the drug. As more information on the subject comes out, we'll be able to tell for sure. One thing is clear. Cannabis has so many uses, some that we may not even be able to comprehend just quite yet. What this plant can do for our bodies is amazing and there's no reason that we shouldn't be utilizing it daily.

Navy Veteran Convicted of Running Retail Marijuana Dispensary shop

Category: Dispensaries | Posted on Wed, November, 6th 2013 by THCFinder
navy-vet-convictedNavy veteran Jovan Jackson has been found guilty of running a “retail marijuana store” in San Diego.

Jurors announced three guilty verdicts Monday for sale of marijuana and two counts of possession for sale. Jackson and his attorney, Lance Rogers, told NBC 7 they plan to appeal the case.

In 2009, Jackson was accused of managing and profiting off Answerdam Alternative Care Dispensary in Kearny Mesa. The state’s medical marijuana law protects people from prosecution if they form non-profit collectives or cooperatives.

Prosecutor Chris Lindberg said Jackson broke the law.

“He grossed close to $160,000 in 75 days of operation, so by no means was it a non-profit. It went beyond that. He didn’t comply with the medical marijuana laws,” Lindberg said.

Outside the courtroom, Rogers said even after this five-year case, he and Jackson want to appeal the case to send a message.

“We are here to keep the fight going to show the local community and the United States as a whole do not support this failed war on drugs,” Rogers said.

However, Chris Lindberg said the guilty verdicts send a message of their own.

He responded, “If they follow the law, they’ll be fine. If they don’t and try to hide behind the law to make a lot of money, they may find themselves in Mr. Jackson’s shoes.”

Vanilla Kush - Indica

Vanilla Kush is an incredible new Indica-dominant strain and is one of the most fragrant, full-flavored and potent plants that Barneys Farm has ever offered. Vanilla Kush genetics come from Kashmir and Afghan. The intense aromas from large, dense colas %u2013heavily speckled with red and gold trichromes %u2013 bring to mind wild vanilla and lavender, accented with lemon and orange peel. Once lit, the floral and herbal aromas become more concentrated and the smoke offers sweet flavors. Outdoor harvest time is the end of September. The THC is strong of 22%. The long lasting high allows the mind to relax and eases muscle tension.
