Cannabis May Prevent Erectile Dysfunction Caused By High Cholesterol

An interesting new study published by the journal Clinicaland Developmental Immunology and the National Institute of Health has found that activation of the body’s cannabinoid receptors - something done naturally by cannabis – can actually reduce the risk of erectile dysfunction in those with hypercholesterolemia. According to the study’s researchers, hypercholesterolemia (which is the presence of high levels of cholesterol in the blood) is “one of the most important risk factors for erectile dysfunction, mostly due to the impairment of oxidative stress and endothelial function in the penis”.
After studying the effects of cannabinoid receptor activation on mice with high cholesterol, researchers found that; “CB2 activation decreased histological features, which were associated with erectile dysfunction in hypercholesterolemic mice.”
According to the study’s lead researcher, these results have important implications that could lead to cannabinoids and cannabis being used to treat erectile dysfunction, which effects over 30 million Americans.
The Woes Of Buying From Street Dealers
Category: Culture | Posted on Mon, December, 9th 2013 by THCFinder
Not everyone has a dispensary in their city... Or anywhere near them for that matter. So these stoners have to resort to other ways of getting their bud and most of the times, that's a street dealer. While there may be some people who enjoy getting their weed from a street dealer, the cons definitely outweigh the pros. There are hundreds of jokes about the unreliability of the street dealer, from the time they get you the weed to the strain name. And of course, everything in between.
The male marijuana street dealer always seems to have a problem with time. He says he's ten minutes from your place, when in reality, he's sitting in the drive through at McDonald's. These dudes can also be extremely awkward to be around, depending on their level of arrogance. For some reason, the male street dealer always seems to think that they're a bigger deal than Pablo Escobar. This effects the way that they treat their customers, sometimes being far more rude than necessary. It's also odd when he pulls up to your chosen meeting place with other people in the car that you don't know. Not only are you being forced to buy bud illegally, you're doing in front of who knows who. The last worst part of the male dealer is if you happen to be female. Occasionally, if a girl is forced to buy from an unfamiliar guy, there may be other consequences. I bought weed from this 19 year old kid once because I was incredibly desperate and he called me for weeks afterwards, to the point where I thought I would have to change my number. Dealer turned stalker!
The female street dealer can be a huge pain. If you've ever gotten a bag of weed from a chick and tried to smoke it, only to find out that it tastes like Abercrombie perfume is a huge letdown. Unfortunately, this happens far too often. If not caught in time, the perfume can permeate the entire bag of weed, rendering the bud awful tasting and basically useless. Another issue with the female street dealer is the fact that they tend to chat a lot, meaning that buying weed becomes an hour long endeavor, possibly even longer! Although, there are plenty of people who enjoy buying weed from a cute girl, so I suppose that most could probably tolerate the perfume and the talking. Female dealers also tend to be a lot more harsh than males, especially when it comes to exact weight and fronting. A girl has to protect her business by being smart, especially when the cannabis game is so primarily populated by males.
Buying weed should be an easy process, much like buying cigarettes. If stoners could just walk in to a gas station and buy a pack of joints, life would be far more simple. Instead, those that are still in illegal states have no choice but to deal with the street dealers. Even though there are plenty of issues when buying weed this way, stoners want to smoke as much as fish want to swim. Whether you're buying from a dispensary or from someone on the street, happy smoking!

More Smokers Leading To Less Failed Drug Tests?
Category: Culture | Posted on Mon, December, 9th 2013 by THCFinder
Employee drug testing is a huge issue in the cannabis community right now. Since the laws are changing, it's hard to imagine employers still trying to test for THC, especially in a legal or medical state. If the law and your doctor say you can smoke, but you can't get a job because the hiring party tests for THC? Smokers don't even get a chance to prove their worth. They're eliminated as soon as they fail the test. But oddly enough, as more people start to smoke pot and be open about their choice to do so, the rate of failed drug tests is falling.
The American medical testing company, Quest Diagnostics, analyzed the results of drug testing only to discover that those testing positive for marijuana has fallen under 2%. This study was based on millions of drug tests, submitted to the company by employers. Results show a steady decline in positive marijuana test results over the past ten years. Granted, the rate was at 3% in 2002, it's strange that there would be a decrease... Or stoners have just outsmarted the test. Considering that there are so many people smoking these days, I'd say that we've outsmarted employers for sure.
Declining positive test results is happening for a few reasons. One would be the fact that most people are aware of what companies and jobs call for the pre employment drug test. If the smoker is aware that the test is coming, they can refrain from smoking. This method isn't always the most assuring, since THC can sit in fat cells for months. While some continuous smokers can manage to pass a drug test within two weeks of stopping their smoking, not everyone is as lucky and some people fail months down the road.
There's also the ways that stoners have thought of to pass a drug test. This include using synthetic urine, detox drinks, and a non-smokers urine. These methods are the most reliable, with the exception of the detox drinks. Faking it is probably the best method that stoners have come up with in order to pass the tests. With so many easy ways advertised to help you pass, more smokers are resorting to this way of passing than any other.
Animals & Cannabis

The only thing that stoners value more than cannabis are their animal companions. Getting stoned and playing with a cat or dog can be a lot of fun. They love you unconditionally and you love them back, without ever worrying that they'll stab you in the back or spread rumors. As long as you give them a steady supply of kibbles, a pet will be your best friend. Unfortunately, our pets don't live as long as we do and it can be extremely hard to say goodbye, especially if the pet is in pain and suffering. Seeing as how almost every creature alive has THC receptors in their brain, is it okay to give sick pets cannabis?
Some people are strongly against giving their pet cannabis. Probably because all that they've experienced is their dog eating their carelessly left out plate of special brownies. Dogs shouldn't eat chocolate in the first place, especially brownies dosed with an amount meant for humans. Allowing an animal to eat our edibles isn't okay and should be avoided. Don't leave brownies or medicate treats out where a pet could reach them. Another don't when it comes to pets and cannabis, avoid blowing smoke at a pet. Their heightened senses are very sensitive to cannabis (or any) smoke and blowing it right at them can be harmful.
However, in the right amount and the proper form, cannabis can transform a sick animal in to a happier one, even if the poor pet is getting up there in age. There is even evidence that cannabis was used by the Ancient Greeks to treat horses with wounds. The cannabis was mixed with other herbs and applied to the injury. The paste assisted with inflammation and pain. This substance is still sold today, under the name Lame Away, which is made with the non-psychoactive THC-A ingredient so it won't get the animal high. Not only does Lame Away carry the poultice, they also produce a salve and an internal tincture as well.
There are multiple accounts of pet owners who have animals that get diagnosed with cancer or other life threatening illnesses in which the animal begins to deteriorate, much like a sick human. They lose their love for life and no longer play. They don't eat the same and have trouble sleeping. While cannabis isn't going to prolong the life of your pet (well it may, but not forever), it will allow your animal to enjoy themselves. The reports claim that pets that are given a cannabis treatment have a newfound energy and playfulness. We understand that as humans, we will outlive our pets. As their owners, we should make them feel as good as possible in their final days.
