Chief Keef arrested: Rapper busted for smoking marijuana at swanky hotel

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Tue, May, 21st 2013 by THCFinder
Seventeen-year-old rap star Chief Keef was arrested on Monday.

According to a police report obtained by TMZ, the "Finally Rich" rapper, whose real name is Keith Cozart, was busted for allegedly smoking marijuana at an upscale Atlanta hotel.

Cozart, who shot to fame in 2012 after catching the attention of fellow rappers Kanye West and 50 Cent, was initially booked for disorderly conduct, but a police report later specified that marijuana was involved.

It isn’t his first run in with the law, the rapper has been arrested at least twice before - in January of 2011 for heroin manufacture distribution, which landed him on house arrest, and again in December of that year for aggravated assault with a weapon.

Taking to Twitter after his release Monday, Cozart wrote ""Jus Got Out Of Dekalb County jail In Atlanta Mad As f--k."

The "I Don't Like" singer didn't appear to be fazed by the addition to his record - on Tuesday he joked with Twitter followers about how quickly his booking photo made rounds online.

Chong says legalized marijuana could save country

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Sun, May, 19th 2013 by THCFinder
NEW YORK — The Grammy Award-winning comedy duo Cheech and Chong based their 42-year career on counterculture humor with a particular emphasis on marijuana use. But these days Tommy Chong sees the recreational drug as something more than fodder for jokes about stoned hippies.

The 74-year-old comedian thinks legalizing marijuana on a federal level would offer numerous benefits, including a boost to the U.S. economy if it were taxed.

"Look at the situation we're in now. Sequesters. Cuts. Everything cut across the board. Now, the government is tapped into the biggest cash crop in the world," Chong said. "There's little manufacturing cost. You don't have to do anything except watch it grow and get a couple of hippies to cut it and then put it in a bag."

His ambitions for marijuana may be outsized, but he notes the potential medical uses that have already inspired some states to legalize the drug. Nearly 20 states have enacted laws to legalize medical marijuana, and two of them — Colorado and Washington — have totally legalized it. And at least 12 states have pending legislation to legalize for medical use.

"Hemp itself is going to save the world," Chong said.

Patrick Dempsey Talks Seattle Coffee Chain: "The Next Step Is Selling Marijuana"

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Fri, May, 17th 2013 by THCFinder
"Neighborhood coffee shops are an important part of people's lives—it's a part of your everyday ritual," the charming actor said. "I want to become a certified barista and work in the stores."

And we certainly wouldn't mind ordering our morning coffee from McDreamy.

The father of three also confessed he downs five (!) cups of joe a day, but said the caffeine "doesn't really affect" him anymore.

NEWS: Read Dempsey's original plan to purchase the coffee chain

"Coffee is good for your mind—it's basically a legalized drug," he explained. "The next step is selling marijuana, of course."

Well, we certainly weren't expecting the marijuana market to be Dempsey's next business venture. But would he actually consider a pickup window for your morning pot?

"There's a business model there," he said. "You could present it in a beautiful, elegant way: a Michelin-starred coffee shop where you can get marijuana," he quipped.

Talk about taking your coffee to the highest standard.

Tommy Chong Says Marijuana Helped Him Beat Cancer

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Tue, May, 14th 2013 by THCFinder
One half of the famous “Cheech and Chong” comedy team says he has beaten prostate cancer, thanks to the use of marijuana.

Earlier this week Tommy Chong posted on CelebStoner that he had “kicked cancer's a**!”

“So the magic plant does cure cancer with the right diet and supplements,” wrote Chong.

Chong is crediting his recovery with the somewhat unconventional methods of his Canadian doctor, who treated his cancer with “hash oil” and encouraged him to change his diet. He also said a number of sessions with Adam Dreamhealer, a man whom he described as a “world-renowned healer”.

Last June, the 74-year-old comedian was diagnosed with cancer after a three-year period in which he said he had been drug free.
Chong said he is 99 percent free of the disease.

“I'm due for another blood test, MRI, etc., but I feel the best I've felt in years,” he wrote in his post.

Chong, who revealed in June 2012, he was using cannabis to treat his cancer, said in an interview with CNN, that legalizing marijuana “means a lot more to me than just being able to smoke a joint without being arrested.”
