Rihanna's Tour Buses Stopped, Marijuana Found

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Thu, March, 21st 2013 by THCFinder
Ten of Rihanna's tour buses were stopped around 9 a.m. Wednesday morning en route to Detroit from Toronto, leading inspectors to find marijuana on one of them.

The buses were stopped at the Ambassador Bridge located near the border between Detroit and Windsor, Canada, according to TMZ.com.

The celebrity news site also reported that after noticing the scent of marijuana, the inspector called for a secondary search of the vehicles. Drug sniffing dogs were brought on board, where they quickly discovered that one of the passengers was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

"The canine did alert on quite a few of the buses, but it was only that small amount found," Kris Grogan, who is a spokes for U.S. Customs and Border Protection told The Daily News.

Rihanna, though not shy about her love for the ganja, was not on any of the busses at the time.

The unnamed passenger was cited with a civil penalty.

Matthew Riddle Released from UFC for Marijuana

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Fri, March, 1st 2013 by THCFinder
Seven months after failing a drug test for marijuana at UFC 149, Matthew Riddle appeared to be back on track as he stepped into the cage at UFC on Fuel 7. As it turns out, he apparently didn't learn from his mistake as a second failed drug test has now caused the UFC to release this very entertaining fighter.

Riddle himself spoke with BJPenn.com Radio on Wednesday night following his release and seemed baffled about the promotion's decision to release him.

I’ve failed two drug tests in seven months. There’s not much I can do. I was prescribed my medicine and I’m going to take it. I got fired over taking my medicine because I don’t want to take pharmaceutical drugs or testosterone. This is what works for me, it’s just s****y, but it is what it is.

Riddle's second failed drug test for marijuana has been the source of much controversy within the MMA community over the past few days, bringing questions to light that have been debated before, but rarely resulted in a fighter losing his or her job.

Should marijuana be on the banned substances list? Should it be considered a performance-enhancing substance? Should the UFC even care about marijuana when there isn't an athletic commission regulating the event?

WWE's Jack Swagger arrested for DUI and marijuana possession

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Thu, February, 21st 2013 by THCFinder
Rough night for World Wrestling Entertainment's former World Heavyweight Champion, Jack Swagger. Swagger, real name Jacob Hager, was arrested Tuesday night following a taping of the company's TV show "Smackdown." TMZ reports Hager was initially pulled over for speeding, however police discovered that he was driving under the influence.

A search of his car produced marijuana, which led to Swagger being arrested for DUI (not alcohol), and possession. He was also charged with speeding. All charges are misdemeanors, and Hager was later released on his own recognizance. When reached for comment, a WWE spokesperson said, "Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions."
