Category: Celebrities | Posted on Mon, February, 14th 2011 by THCFinder
Lady Gaga admits that she smokes marijuana but claims she uses it principally when she is writing new songs.   The lady who hatched from an egg on the Grammys last night feels that “sugar coating” her lifestyle or behaviour and pretending she doesn’t use drugs would be untrue to herself.
In an interview with Anderson Cooper for ’60 Minutes’, she said: “I still smoke a lot of pot when I write music. So I’m not gonna, like, sugar coat it for ’60 Minutes’ that I’m some, like, sober human being, ’cause I’m not.”
Despite admitting her own cannabis use, the 24-year-old singer – who tookhome three prizes at the Grammy Awards last night says she doesn’t want her younger fans to experiment with illegal substances just because she has.
In the TV interview, she added: “I don’t want to encourage kids to do drugs. But when you asked me about the sociology of fame and what artists do wrong – what artists do wrong is they lie.  And I don’t lie.  I’m not a liar.  I built good will with my fans.  They know who I am.  And I’m just like them in so many ways.”

Elijah Dukes Says He Smoked Marijuana Out Of Peer Pressure

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Sat, February, 12th 2011 by THCFinder

The Tampa Tribune published its story on former Nationals outfielder Elijah Dukes's new rap career and the claims he made about rampant marijuana use among himself and teammates, which include Dukes smoking before Nationals games. Dukes, in the piece, says speaking out about those issues got him blackballed from MLB.

In the story, Dukes says he started smoking marijuana with fellow players, some of whom he looked up to, out of "peer pressure." He says players would sneak drugs on to chartered planes "in their man purses, you know, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, you know." Dukes, according to the story, said he shared this information with Dr. Laurence Westreich, a counselor the league assigned to him as part of its employee assistance program. Shortly after his conversation with Westreich, Dukes said, the Nationals released him. While both the Nationals and several other sources at the time said Dukes's release pertained only to baseball reasons, Dukes now claims his revelations caused the release and also got him unofficially outlawed from the game.

At this hour, the Nationals have no comment. A team spokesman said club officials might be willing to address Dukes's statements later today, after they have reviewed the Tribune's story. (UPDATE, 1:03 p.m.: The Nationals will not have any comment about the story this weekend, at least.) In the story, a major league official said Dukes is not telling the truth.

Smoking Weed It's No Big Deal, Says Richard and Judy's Chloe

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Sat, February, 12th 2011 by THCFinder

Richard and Judy’s daughter Chloe Madeley yesterday claimed smoking cannabis is ‘no big deal’, saying: ‘I think it’s pretty nothing actually.’ The 23-year-old, currently competing in ITV’s Dancing On Ice, made the comments about photographs of her inhaling from a cannabis pipe at a music festival. When the pictures of the incident in Norfolk emerged two years ago, she issued an apology saying: ‘I was really stupid. I regret doing what I did and have learnt my lesson.’

But yesterday Miss Madeley said: ‘If I’m going to be totally honest, I don’t think that smoking weed is that big a deal. ‘I was really worried that people were going to be angry with me because I know how people feel about drugs. I immediately apologised. ‘But, with the exception of skunk, which has been proven to be dangerous, I think people might be surprised how many people smoke weed. ‘I don’t think a 19-year-old doing it in a field with ten of her best friends is something to send everyone into uproar.

'This is controversial and I know some people won’t like it but I’m not going to lie. I don’t think smoking weed is that big a deal. ‘I think it’s pretty nothing, actually. I am sorry if I’ve offended anyone. I don’t want to upset anyone, especially my parents’ fans. ‘That’s not my fanbase to upset and that wasn’t my intention but I think there are worse things in life, really.’

Judge Dismisses Millie Elder's Drug Case

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Thu, February, 10th 2011 by THCFinder

A judge has thrown out the drugs case against Paul Homes' daughter Millie Elder after police prosecutors failed to prove basic elements of the case. Elder was charged with obstructing police and possession of methamphetamine and cannabis after her Mercedes was searched in December 2009. The vehicle was searched after a passenger in her car was seen by police drinking alcohol.

However, police prosecutors in the Auckland District Court today neglected to present evidence that the area was covered by the liquor ban. Judge Philippa Cunningham said the rest of the case flowed from that search and as the evidence was therefore unlawfully obtained, the rest of the case had to fail. A "no case to answer" submission by Elder's lawyer Kim Holden was upheld. The obstruction charge remained as it was not a consequence of the search, the judge said. Elder pleaded guilty to the charge and was discharged without conviction She was fined $150 for an earlier charge she had admitted of possession of cannabis in January 2010.
