Amanda Bynes wore a long aqua wig, false eyelashes and black sweatpants and a tank top for a brief court appearance Tuesday on allegations that she chucked a marijuana bong out the window of her 36th-floor Manhattan apartment.

The 27-year-old actress did not speak during the hearing that lasted mere minutes, but she drew a throng of photographers and television cameras as she entered and left the criminal court building in lower Manhattan. Neither she nor her attorney spoke to reporters outside court.
Bynes was arrested May 23 after building officials at her midtown apartment called police to complain that she was rolling a joint and smoking pot in the lobby.

Officers went to her apartment, where they said they saw heavy smoke and a bong sitting on the kitchen counter. They said she tossed the bong out the window in front of them, according to prosecutors. A day later, in her first court appearance, she wore a disheveled blond wig.

LaVon Brazill from the Indianapolis Colts was suspended by the NFL for Marijuana

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Fri, July, 5th 2013 by THCFinder
suspended-for-marijuanaLate last month, the NFL suspended Indianapolis Colts wide receiver LaVon Brazill for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, but they didn’t announce how he violated it.

The Indianapolis Star though says Brazill was suspended due to a failed marijuana test.

Per Bob Kravitz:

To me, LaVon Brazill is a somewhat different story, and if I was Grigson, I would take a harder line with the second-year wide receiver.Admittedly, what Lefeged did was far more dangerous than what Brazill did, which, sources tell me, was testing positive for smoking marijuana. Lefeged’s indiscretion involved drinking, drugs and guns. Brazill was only guilty of doing what millions of Americans do on a semi-regular basis.
As Kravitz later mentions in his piece, a four game ban for marijuana means you have to caught multiple times, so Brazill has been on the wrong end of the league’s substance abuse policy more than once.

The hand stance presented by Kravitz suggests that the Colts should simply cut Brazill, however, that’s unlikely to happen at this point. Though, he clearly has put a target upon himself if his performance in training camp isn’t up to par.

Adrian Grenier On Obama's Marijuana Use

Category: Celebrities | Posted on Wed, June, 26th 2013 by THCFinder

Adrian Grenier and Matthew Cooke, producer and director of "How to Make Money Selling Drugs," joined HuffPost Live's Mike Sacks to talk about their new documentary and the implications of this country's drug policies for American citizens, especially minorities.

"Let's just have a real conversation," Grenier said. "How many people do you know who tried drugs recreationally, a glass of wine? How many people do you know who smoke where it doesn't have a major effect on their lives? They don't become addicts."

The actor, who made his name as Entourage's pot-smoking movie star Vinny Chase, continued, "And were we to throw them in jail, it would devastate their lives, they wouldn't be able to get college loans."

To hammer their point home, the filmmakers brought President Obama into the picture. "Imagine if Barack Obama had been busted for inhaling," said Cooke. "In that single moment when the SWAT teams came in and raided him, he wouldn't have been able to become president of the United States, and not only that, he couldn't have had a good job at all."

"He would have, as a black man, been less likely to get a good income in any job," Cooke continued. "He would have likely been prosecuted more than any white dealer or user."

A recent analysis by Americans For Safe Access, a pro-medical marijuana group, just revealed that the Obama Administration has spent $289 million fighting its use in states that have legalized the substance.

Grenier rounded out the debate, proclaiming, "I think [Obama] owes it to himself and future Obamas to stop this madness."
