Willie Nelson arrested for marijuana possession

Category: Culture | Posted on Sat, November, 27th 2010 by THCFinder

Oops, he did it again.

Country music legend Willie Nelson was arrested for possession of marijuana Friday after a U.S. Border Patrol official smelled a suspicious odor on his tour bus during a routine stop.

Traveling from California to his ranch near Austin, Nelson's bus was pulled over at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas, around 85 miles west of El Paso, when the officer found six ounces of pot. Nelson said it was his, according to reports.

(Maybe he thought he was still in California, where marijuana for medical purposes is legal.)

The 77-year-old singer was detained briefly along with three others. He was released after paying a $2,500 bond.

Hudspeth County Sheriff Arvin West told the El Paso Times that Nelson could get 180 days in county jail (this is Texas, after all).

"If he does, I'm going to make him cook and clean. He can wear the stripy uniforms just like the other ones do," West said.

Hugh Hefner Talks Monogamy, Miley Cyrus and Marijuana

Category: Culture | Posted on Tue, November, 23rd 2010 by THCFinder

In light of the countless celebrity cheating and sex scandals of 2010, Playboy’s legendary founder Hugh Hefner says it all boils down to his original theory that human beings are not meant to be monogamous.

“I think that monogamy is something that has been invented along the way to take care of children,” he explained.

Speaking of children, Disney darling turned racy pop star Miley Cyrus enters adulthood as she celebrates her 18th birthday Tuesday, and we couldn’t help but ask if any offers were on the table for her to make her “adult” status a little more official with an appearance in the men’s magazine…

“The simple answer is she is the one that you and all the other readers would like to see,” Hef said coyly. “That person changes every month and year, it depends on who the hot celebrity of the month is.”

The 84-year-old is reportedly still vying to spend $123 million to buy back the outstanding shares in his beloved Playboy Enterprises Inc., which was founded to manage the Playboy magazine empire, and even though rival publication Penthouse is willing to dish out even more money, Hef controls 70 percent of the voting thus it’s likely the enterprise he built in 1983 will remain in his hands

And he certainly has plans to build the “Playboy” brand far behind its glossy pages, and bounce the bunnies all over the world.

The market for magazines and books and newspapers is changing and everything is becoming electronic so we’re shifting the focus,” Hef added. “The magazine remains the heart and soul of the company, but increasingly the end of it will be driven by the casinos and Playboy products around the world. The brand itself, despite all the economic problems, the brand itself is hotter than ever.”

But our interview with the icon wasn’t all about business, pop culture and relationship advice. He also shared his thoughts on California voters striking down bids to legalize marijuana.

I don’t think there’s any question that marijuana should be legalized because to not legalize it, we’re paying the same price we paid for prohibition,” he told Pop Tarts last Wednesday, before receiving the Award of Honor & First Amendment Awardat the PEN Center USA's 20th Annual Literary Awards Festival in Los Angeles. “In other words, it is a medical concern and it should be handled that way.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley Smoking some weed!

Category: Culture | Posted on Wed, November, 17th 2010 by THCFinder

A vintage photo has surfaced which appears to feature Victoria’s Secret model andTransformers 3 leading lady Rosie Huntington-Whiteley smoking marijuana from a bong.

Rosie is joined by two other models — Jennifer Pugh and Aleksandra Rastovic — in the image, which ran on the pages of London’s Daily Mail on Friday. No one’s certain when the picture was taken, but a friend of the model confirms that the pot-puffer in question is, in fact, Rosie: “She is aware of the picture’s existence, but she was 18 or 19 when that was taken. She’s just turned 21 so it’s two or three years old.”

Medical marijuana patient with cancer has mmj license rejected.

Category: Culture | Posted on Wed, November, 17th 2010 by THCFinder

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's recent rejection of nearly 2,000 medical marijuana patient licensesover a quiet rule change caused such an uproar that the department promised to temporarily reinstate licenses for around 1,300 MMJ users -- among them Larry Shurtleff, who suffers from stage 4 cancer. But he remains confused and anxious over the state jerking him back and forth.

"This has been just about unbearable on me," says Shurtleff, 53. "One day, I think everything's going good, and then I get shot back down again. I really don't know what's going on."
