Sour Kush strain Review with pics

Category: Nugs | Posted on Sun, February, 10th 2013 by THCFinder

Strain Name: Sour Kush

Date Acquired: June 20, 2012

Grade: A/A+

Type: Hybrid

Looks: Nice tight & "crunchy" lime green marijuana nuggets to the touch with a heavy coating of trichomes.

Smell: Pine and lemon concentrate juice.

Taste: Similar to it's smell; rich, sour and lemony with hints of fuel.

Buzz Type: Heavy pressure body high

Buzz Length: Above Average to Very Long (1.5 to 2+ hours)

Summary:

* The last time I had a strain similar to Sour Kush was back in April 2010, when given a sample a Super Sour Kush to try. Lemonheads rejoice! If you like a dominant smell and taste of lemons, this strain will not disappoint. The combination of pine and lemon scents produces a smell that is very "sour." A lemon taste hits the mouth when drawing from bong w/o lighting the bowl yet. The smell is like the plastic lemon/lime filled with liquid concentrate. A bit of stench was left behind when breaking up a marijuana nugget too.

This batch of Sour kush looked as if it was dusted with powder sugar. This strain produces lots of smoke. I was able to produce big exhales of smoke. I immediately noticed smaller bowl hits were better vs. packed larger bowls due to how this strain burned so "rich." Large bowl rips had me coughing pretty hard with my large bong (holding my coughs once again in the included video) and large bubbler hits were to rich with bowls in both pieces immediately very resinous after a hit.

Sour Kush provided me with a bit of mental clarity, but more than once I was shut down with a crash or came down feeling lazy. Pain relief was excellent (produced a bit of full body tingle) with a slight bit of "headiness" right behind the eyes along with the sensation of pressure around the front of my head. My eyes did get low and turn fast. Once closed, I did not want to open my eyes up; very couch locking. If not couch locking, the buzz effect turns to a more super heavy body high with extreme "tingle;" somewhat like the feeling ants are crawling all over you.

If trying to lose weight or watch your weight, be careful with this one. I got the munchies bad, very bad. I literally was the poster child for saying; "... ate house and home." I ate like crazy. Late nights were bad. It was very hard to deter my sweet tooth cravings late night if medicating with Sour Kush.

Cheers (& Cough),
@IE420

Private Reserve OG Strain Review with pics

Category: Nugs | Posted on Sat, February, 9th 2013 by THCFinder

Disclaimer: Review is based on the personal opinion of IE420Patient. Batches of the same strain can produce different results due to many factors thus, as with any "review" use as a guide, not as pure fact.

Strain Name: Private Reserve

Date Acquired: June 1, 2012

Grade: A+

Type: Indica

Looks: Frosty deep green marijuana nuggets with full sugary trichome coverage. Areas of black/purple leaf.

Smell: Pine, Menthol, and Wintergreen.

Taste: Very dank and slightly rich with a hint of sweetness.

Buzz Type: Strong, full body, and heavy.

Buzz Length: Above Average to Very Long (1.5 to 2+ hours)

Summary:

* After a 10 day run without flowers, I was using concentrates 100% of the time. I was surprised how strong and heavy Private Reserve was on my first bowl. It couch locked me.

Private Reserve provides a nice soothing full body high with a bit of cerebral pressure which I "felt" right behind my eyes; making them drop real low. Every shut of the eyes felt like a full minute blink. At times, it felt like it as hard to open once closed. It's the kind of strain when initially medicating with, I'd wrap up any loose ends and get to bed.

This batch of Private Reserve was rich and dank. For me, the intake was hard. Many times (as in my first hit video), I had to hold coughs. The smoke hit the back of my throat hard regardless of glass used (large bong or smaller bubbler). It was not a "spicy" hard, but like if I was "thumped" in the throat. This strain had thick smoke expansion BEFORE hitting the lungs causing me to cough/choke up many times.

Although called Private Reserve, this strain initially reminded me of the Louie and Presidential strains I've medicated with previously.

On this taste side, Private Reserve had more "sweet" notes when using my small bubbler vs. larger bong.

Overall, Private Reserve was solid! As my primary flower for the month of June 2012, I was not once disappointed. I enjoyed Private Reserve so much I did re-up and got a second fill.

Cheers (& Cough),
@IE420
