J-1
Sativa Dominant Hybrid
Considered a top shelf medical marijuana strain at most dispensaries, J-1 is a Hybrid cross of Jack Herer and Skunk #1. It has been said to have been first bred in the Sierra Mountain region of California. The J-1 has tender, hearty buds that are extremely sticky and covered in crystals and bright orange hairs. J-1's scent is incredibly fresh, with a spicy fruit, Haze taste and a hint of vanilla. This is a great medical strain for daytime smoking patients. J-1 is a rare find since it sells out quickly at most dispensaries.

LA Confidential
100% Indica
Perhaps famous for high profile rappers Snoop Dogg and Cypress Hill name dropping LA Confidential in their lyrics. The high of this strain is psychedelic and energetic with a steel hammer. There are two real phenotypes and they will both finish in 55-60 days. One is a bit more hardy but both equal in knock down drag out stone. With an incredible smell and unique L.A. flavor.
LA Confidential has won many awards including honors in the High Times Cannabis Cup Indica Category in 2004 and 2005. LA Con is bred by DNA Genetics seed bank. Originating from Hollywood, DNA Genetics founders Don and Aaron took high risks growing weed in California during the late 1980s.

Master Kush (Indica Dominant)
Master Kush was first brought into the medical marijuana scene known as "High Rise", since it was first bred in one of the tallest buildings in south Amsterdam. Great for indoor setups and grows under most conditions. Master Kush matures to be a medium sized plant with compact dense buds. The buds are a light green with orange or white hairs. Master Kush gives a great body buzz with an alert mind. Master Kush won the High Times Cannabis Cup twice, 1992 and 1993.

Snow Cap
Sativa Dominant Hybrid
Snow Cap can be found in clone form that is widely grown in California, although seeds can also be found from Snow Cap growers. It appears as if there are two different types of Snow Cap strains floating around California. One being Snow Cap, a heavy Indica from Humboldt County and the other being Snow Cap, a heavy Sativa from Mendocino County, Fort Bragg.
Patients often get confused about Snow Cap (aka Humboldt Snow) with Fort Bragg Snow Cap. Fort Bragg Snow Cap is the one that is intriguing by many patients. The Humboldt County Snow Cap genetics are almost 100% Indica. The genetics were from Holland then developed further over a two year period in the Humboldt County. The Indica seeds are from Holland. Humboldt Snow Cap, also known as Snow Bud, has also been known as Snow Cap. It is rumored to be a cross between two different Afghan strains.
Snocap smells like it is "Trainwreck" influenced, whereas the other (snow cap) does not. The trainwreck influenced one is a Sativa, and is clone only and most likely california only.
