Currenly we are involved in a monthly food drive for Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes. We started the food drive November 2011. Our 'ultimate' goal is to drop off 10,000 pounds of food. As of June 2008 we have dropped off over 5,000 pounds (That's 2 1/2 TONS of food!!!). With schools letting out this food drive becomes even more important as many families depend on them school lunches to provide a meal for their children. Please stop by and drop off a generous donation soon as every little bit turns into a lot!
In the month of April we raised over $2700 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association through their "Lock-up for Good" charity event. We were the largest donation raiser in the Kalamazoo area.
In the month of June The Med Joint Community Compassion Center donated $200 to the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Kalamazoo (Event June9th-10th)
In the month of April The Med Joint Community Compassion Center donated $500 to the Community AIDS Resource and Education Services (CARES). This event allowed 20+ Kalamazoo area restaurants to give at least 25% of their receipt sales to CARES. Other sponsors included Targowski and Grow, Michigan Holistic Health, Pfizer, Kalamazoo Gazette and Bronson Hospital.
We are consistantly involved in community involvment. If you would like to know how YOU can join us in helping in so many way then please just ask!

Dont believe the bots!!! Wet meds, High prices, shady practices
I have been going to the med joint since its opened up. I have been to 4 other dispensaries and by far, the med joint has the worst management and worst meds. I am a caregiver and only go very rarely and everytime and I am shocked with the poor meds. On top of that you can only get the 1/2 gram discount if you by at least an eighth of one kind, no mix/max. Also the meds that you see in the jars are different then the baggies they pull out of the jar with pre weighted meds in them. EVERYTIME since they have started doing this my meds have been wet. Everyone i know in kalamazoo would rather drive all the way to Karmacy in battle creek then these crooks. BTW, the karmacy bottom shelf meds are as good as this places top most of the time and you can mix and match meds. I cant say enough bad about this place. Only thing is a couple of the bud tenders are cool. Ownership are in it for only wrong reasongs
I can't believe that it was that simple to sign up. The staff are very friendly, and knowledgable. Willing to stear you to the right product for your ailments. Location is excellent. Clean, discreet, and patrons at other locations at site are very understanding. You actually feel like you're going to a doctors appointment. Hopefully Osthemo township will not try and shut them down, as they are very willing to work with them. I have been to other dispensaries, and found that having to sneak around back in the alleys was too nerve racking for me. The med joint is easily located, and the cleanliness and the suroundings make it a very comfortable place to go. Prices are compatible with other dispensaries, and the commentator to the prices doesn't realize that these are the going prices at all med joints.
just recently got my license and needed help and direction on my path. Absolutely love this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and for you people who didn't have the sense God gave you to ask. It is not a hard and fast membership fee at the door, it is a VOLUNTARY donation. You are not turned away if you don't want to contribute!

The crew goes out of their way to answer all my questions! Fun atmosphere, and great bud. It's clean, everyone is friendly, and I love the discount. The staff legitimately wants to help people and give patients a safe place to get what we need. I'd give Med Joint a higher rating if I could. Holla.

Run by honest people with great knowledge of the product. Everytime I've been there people (employees and customers) were extremely nice and pleasant to be around. Some of the dispensaries in both Kalamazoo and Lansing are skeezy and have an uncomfortable energy about them. The Med Joint is not one of those places. Wonderful place! They have my loyalty.
Great place, great people, great selection! This is the only place I will go to from now on! And to set the record straight, there is NO admission fee! They only ask for a $10 donation to become a member of and support the compassion center. I got a free gram with my donation which put my meds at around $12/gm! THE LOWEST I HAVE EVER GOTTEN MY MEDICINE FOR! And they have their product tested so I know I'm getting safe meds.
I have visited most the dispensaries in Kalamazoo and overall this is a beautiful place. Here's why I wont go back. I went in and immediately was solicitated for $10 membership fee..... Dang, isn't $15 or $20 a gram enough? Then when I mentioned that I had frequented Mother's Nature in Battle Creek ... some smart mouth, two tone hair, rough lookin woman who worked there said with attitude "we are not affiliated with Mother's Nature" ... like i said something wrong. Excuse me, maybe you aren't afflilated but KEVIN WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE, like DUH...... Smart mouth little chickies like you cost KEVIN business too.
First I walked in and was greeted right away at the door, after signing up and paying an admission fee to enter I was allowed to view the meds. There was a decent size selection, but no where near the selection listed on their website I was told to visit. A lot of shake and meds that did not look, or smell medical grade. I sucked up the high price and got some of what they told me to be the strongest indica strain they had and I am writing this at 4am still no sleep. Knowledge a little off but friendly though. Overall not a bad place I just don't think it's for me.

charges a fee to join, kid doesn't know was used to make edibales. high prices, large selction. you just have to look at seven to find one. it is a very clean site. they just charge more then others, shop around you can do better
I've only visited The Med Joint so far, and don't plan on "shopping around." My opinion...they have it all, professional and pleasant staff, a clean and comfortable environment, a nice variety of strains, and reasonable prices with specials too. The initial membership was so quick. I was like a kid in a candy store and they were patient and answered all of my questions. They made a nubee feel at home, I highly recommend this shop. Med Joint you got it going on, for realsies!!
