Altruistic is advertising on nwgreenthumb!!

If anyone who has posted here can post at NWGreenThumb, it will help others avoid being ripped off from altruistic. So far they have not made any public apology or any attempt to respond to any of the people they say they are trying to help! They just keep advertising and passing off the same crap to unsuspecting patients. I have found them posting on craigs list and at least one patient posted a "thank you for the mites" comment there. I tried to post a warning and it was flagged within a few hours.
I haven't found anyone who thinks an apology is too much to ask for. sean and andrew appear to think it is ok to keep falsely advertising and ripping people off.
Seriously think about going to nwgreenthumb and posting a review there. You will find them in the forum under "growers market place" about the third page in. After my original post there someone came forward and said they had the same experience and I said I would ask the people who have posted here to go there and do the same. Thanks for those who do.

Previous short review...

because I was too pissed off at the time to write anything productive. Again, though, I stand fully behind BetterBudsBureau. If it is true that they were aware of the mite infestation (and it is hard to believe that they were not aware, considering the quantity of clones they keep in stock and how easy it is to spot mites) prior to making sales, and if it is also true that when multiple customers came to them requesting that they honor their guarantee, as stated on their website, when the clones purchased were found to be without roots or infested with mites, and were answered with silence instead of claims to responsibility at having provided an unsatisfactory/ harmful product, then these kids are WITHOUT QUESTION a threat to our community.
First, the mites aside, there are multiple reviews (and I neglected to mention this in my own) stating that the clones provided were not yet rooted. The website for AltruisticCulture states: "Tired of sickly cuttings being passed off as “clones”? We guarantee our clones to always be rooted, and of quality genetics." But the product they are condemning is exactly the product they are willing to sell.
Next on their website (click on the Clones tab) they write: "Clones are vigorously rooted and come with a 100% GUARANTEE. If there are any starts that you have trouble with give me a call and I will replace them free of charge. (Although this is never a problem)." Here is the second claim made INDEPENDENT OF THE MITE PROBLEM that has not been honored on multiple counts. This alone is worth considering before doing business with AltruisticCulture.
But more, and in challenge to their very name (because what is altruistic about their actions so far?):
On their website they write, "This operation benefits a collected group of low income patients trying to provide themselves and other registered patients with their medical needs, no profits are accumulated in any transaction." Another false statement. That Andrew and Sean have not honored their guarantee or made efforts to compensate is proof. How can it be an operation that benefits low-income patients if they are taking money from said patients in exchange for a sham product? Unless, that is, ‘low-income patients’ does not actually refer to the customer, but them instead, and if that is the case, then this is more a charity than a business and the customer, to them, is only a misinformed financer. Further support to this supposition can be found in BetterBudsBureau’s claim to Sean’s statement that, “right now, producing these clones is the only income Andrew has.” The implication, then, is that the money made is being used for personal expenses (whether or not these kids do well enough at money management to make profit is up for question).
So for these reasons (again, independent of the mites), I caution anyone considering doing business with AltruisticCulture. What few good reviews they have are essentially made void by all of the bad reviews and claims of dishonest practice.
If we (the MMJ community) continue to give people like Andrew and Sean business, then, harsh though it may sound, we are in support of our own demise.

Mites, mites and more mites and no roots

Bought 100 clones . Could not inspect due to meeting at busy Bartell parking lot. Out of those 100 clones only nine(9) had any roots at all. They were tiny little sickly looking things no taller than a half inch, yellow with active Spider mites and eggs. I counted 15 mites and 36 eggs on one small leaf less than 3/4 of an inch. I immediately called and could not get an answer. I emailed and got no response. It was obvious that most of the clones were just taken as there was fresh cloning gel gooped all over them.

I did not need unrooted clones because I had just taken a bunch of my own, however they were not rooted yet. I was trying to get a jump on things by purchasing already rooted clones.

I had to throw the clones away as they were full of mites and I did not want to chance bringing them into my garden. I should be able to grow a clone for three weeks before flowering, with these clones it would have taken another two weeks just to root!!! I would like to hand someone a bunch of tiny branches for $8.00 per branch, Actually I could not rip anyone off without having a guilty conscience.

They gave me a "great deal" and sold them to me for $8.00 a peice. So I was only out $800.00.

Stupid is as Stupid does...

I am thankful for 206bseabuds comments but am surprised it was that short. CannaButter is laughable with their comment about not seeing mites when picking them up. Meeting someone who has kept you waiting in a public parking lot for an hour is hardly an acceptable place to expect someone to be able to "inspect" for anything other than that there are actually clones in the bag. Is what cannabutter calls "due dilligence" so easily defined that they do not... One of the easiest ways to keep mites away is not to bring infected clones into any grow room. Another is to get rid of everything and start over, ONLY after thoroughly cleaning the space. Now a patient who is growing for personal use can decide what his personal "due dilligence" amounts to, but I am confident that anyone who is taking the time to have a grow room will tell you that any patient has the right to expect that someone who is providing a service to others, be, is,can and will be held to a higher standard, if they are expecting to have nice things said about them and have a high percentage of repeat customers and or donations. Has the two gentleman (patient & caretaker) running altruistic culture admitted what many others already know, YES. At least to me and the CPC. Since I personally spoke with the CPC, loudly at first because I was concerned that I should have been warned by them when letting them know of my plans to obtain clones from altruistic, at that time, the near future. I was made to think that their (CPC), $1000.00 loss from the same sham that befell myself, was within only a few days of each other. I can't be sure of that detail but the abundance of choice, descriptive, negative words to describe altruistic cultures actions regarding the delivery of sick mite infested clones, made it VERY clear what was happening and in my opinion STILL is happening. I have, finally, after 3 weeks been refunded ONLY, 10 rooted, mite infested clones and the rest of the donation. Let me say again, anyone who wishes to risk finding out what can happen when you start with a plant that has mites, feel free to listen to CannaButters opinion. I don't see the point in having a grow room, or using it with clones that begin with mites. Might as well put it outside in the dirt, if you have the right conditions to be successful. BUT if you actually READ what altruistic culture has WRITTEN above and at their dot org website then why would any intelligent patient knowingly accept anything less than what they/(altruistic culture) themselves say they are providing!?
Less than 12 hours after posting my original, personal experience, I received an e-mail from sean at altruistic culture saying: Right now, producing these clones is the only income Andrew (the patient I am a caregiver for) has. By being unwilling to work with us, all you are doing is hurting him. In regards to your postings about the CPC, Andrew is already working on their replacement clones. Because of your postings, we have not been able to even pay our cell phone bill, so please call us to arrange a time to get this sorted.
FIRST: I am not aware of the validity of any of these statements, but common sense helps me determine the accuracy of them. Unwilling to work with them at that time means being tired of being told one thing and kindly believing it on the first hand, expressing my opinion that being provided sick mite infested clones was not going to be accepted by myself, nor should they begin a "poor me, pitty me" campaign to, I don't know, maybe get me to feel sorry and just accept being ripped off, insulted, lied to... But I kept listening until I was ready to give them another chance despite the 4 conversations and the obvious original lies until they had both appologized and agreed to refund the $ as who could be expected to risk mites again?
SECOND: I do not believe that they are working on replacements for the CPC, or that the CPC would trust them AGAIN. I don’t know but don’t believe… I will be in contact with the CPC and will inquire for an update as to their position if they are willing to discuss it further as they were very steadfast about what they thought of altruistic culture and whether or not they definitely wouldn’t use services like that again.
THIRD: I consider seans last comment a perfect example of the kind of conversations I had and the level of intelligence involved in those conversations. Everyone has a right to their own level of utilized intelligence but that does not mean that another will accept being lassoed into another’s existence so easily. Sean used the plural when referring to m posting here because AFTER I posted my personal experience here I left a more personal review directly on their dot org website. To my knowledge that personaly posted review is not viewable by everyone. I can see it, but not others that I know who have tried. SO finally how does ones cell phone bill payment have anything to do with my review on THC Finder and the invi_ible personally posted review on altruistic culture dot org!? Can you connect the dots for me please . . . ?
I will do my best to answer any questions ANYONE might have about what my personal experience was and if anyone has an answer to a question I need to ask please expect a two way conversation to be involved.

Good quality clones with good selection

Not sure what's up with these guys talking about mites, I've gotten clones from Altruistic twice now, and I've inspected my clones when picking them up for mites, and never seen any. I do my due diligence before putting anything in my grow room, and keep everything treated. Perhaps it was a temporary issue that they've resolved, because I just picked up some ZWidow and Permafrost this week that were perfectly clean and healthy.
The Permafrost, Sno-Cap, and Cheese have been my favorites of the strains they have available so far, going to try this ZWidow out and see how well it performs.

Same experience as BetterBudsBureau. These greasy bastards gave me plants with mites, and I'd give them a zero too except you have to put something.
