Category: Odd | Posted on Mon, June, 9th 2014 by THCFinder

The fight happened Saturday evening shortly after 31-year-old Rodney Brown and 33-year-old Jackie Brown got into a verbal altercation at the house they share. Rodney Brown was arrested on charges that include domestic battery, cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana over 20 grams.
Jackie Brown told Polk County Sheriff's deputies his brother uprooted several cannabis plants in varying lengths up to three feet and starting hitting him in the face with them.
Deputies say Rodney Brown allowed them to search the property. They found 10 marijuana plants outside and drug paraphernalia inside the house.
Rodney Brown was taken to jail and posted bail. It wasn't clear whether he has an attorney and a phone number was not available for him.

Wendy's Employee SERVES MARIJUANA BURGER
Category: Odd | Posted on Fri, December, 6th 2013 by THCFinder

According to the Lovejoy Police Department, 32-year-old Amy Seiber was busted during her shift on November 1 ... after a customer called 911, complaining she had found a half-smoked blunt in her cheeseburger.
The customer met with police at the Wendy's location where she ordered the burger, and cops claim Seiber immediately admitted the blunt was hers.
According to police, Seiber said she had been smoking pot on the job and conveniently "misplaced" the blunt inside the customer's burger ... right on top of the pickle.
The blunt was taken as evidence and Seiber was arrested for possession of marijuana ... oh yeah, she was also promptly fired.
We spoke to the lucky customer, who tells us she experienced food poisoning-type symptoms after the incident and had to be hospitalized.
So far, she says Wendy's has offered to help pay for her medical bills ... and has even generously thrown in a $50 gift certificate. Like she'll ever eat at Wendy's ever again.

Florida Couple Smuggles 11 Pounds Of Bud...On Accident?
Category: Odd | Posted on Fri, November, 29th 2013 by THCFinder

Smuggling marijuana takes a lot of thought and skill. Getting caught is always the last option on the list. So how does a Florida couple manage to smuggle 11 pounds of pot in their luggage without even knowing that it's there? As unbelievable as it sounds, it happened to a couple from Key Largo. The husband and wife transported the 11 pounds of pot in their suitcases for 900 miles before discovering the green cargo.
The couple rents properties in other states, including a home in Louisiana. One day back in July, a package arrived at the rental home and was found by the housekeeper,. She contacted the owners of the home, who were in Florida at the time. The owners said to send the package back to UPS. But the shipping company sent it back for a second time and the housekeeper put the box inside the rental home.
On a recent vacation trip to the rental home, the couple found the box that had been left there. They opened it, finding it to be a few suitcases. Thinking that the luggage was being returned after a lost trip, the two packed the bags in to their car and began their journey back to Florida. When the two went back to Florida they opened the bags, which had been locked shut, to find that they were full of marijuana. They immediately called the sheriffs office, which in turn led to the weed being confiscated and "destroyed".
As said above, it's ironic that two people who had no idea that they had the pot on them managed to get 900 miles from point A to point B without getting caught. Lucky for them, however, because depending on the state that they were in at the time, it could've been a serious problem for the couple had they been pulled over and searched. Morale of the story? Don't carry strange luggage on long trips if you're unsure of what it contains.

Denver Investigators Use Nasal Ranger Smelling Device To Find Marijuana Odors
Category: Odd | Posted on Wed, November, 13th 2013 by THCFinder

Have you seen someone using the device that is shown in the picture in the upper right hand corner of this article? If so, did you wonder what in the world is that person doing? Apparently, a person is walking around Denver, Colorado using a device similar to that one trying to hunt down marijuana odors. Yes, it’s a real job that someone does, and yes, there is a device that can give you superhero-like smelling abilities.
According to the Huffington Post:
In Denver, when a complaint is filed about marijuana odor in an area, the Department of Public Health’s Ben Siller is called out with his field olfactometer to sniff around and see if the law has been broken.
Siller, who has been investigating odor complaints for 26 years, uses the department’s Nasal Ranger device to determine how strong the odor is and if a violation has occurred — which it turns out is rare. The Denver Post reports that the odor has to reach a level of 8:1 or greater which can mean a fine of up to $2,000. But that hasn’t happened since 1994.
The fact that government money is being spent to fund a guy with a smelling device who is walking around looking for marijuana odors is kind of weird to me. I personally think that money could be better spent elsewhere. If a fine hasn’t been handed out since 1994, how do they justify keeping this position? How do you feel about it? If there was a ‘Nasal Ranger’ operating in your area, how would you react? Given, there hasn’t been a fine handed out in almost 20 years, but isn’t that reason enough to just get rid of the position? I look forward to your comments.

Florida Model Stabs Boyfriend After His Dog Ate Her Marijuana
Category: Odd | Posted on Wed, October, 23rd 2013 by THCFinder

According to Kevin Wiggins, Shadae Scott, 26, kicked him out of the apartment after his dog atd her pot, but she had hidden his personal effects, so he could not leave. He says she started stabbing him with a pink pocketknife after he asked her where his computer was hidden.
According to Scott, Wiggins just kept walking into her knife as they argued. Wiggins sustained two cuts to the face and one to the hand.
In Scott's account, the fight was not about the drugs; instead, it was about their dinner plans. She says she pulled the knife to defend herself when he would not let her leave the apartment. Apparently she could do nothing about the fact that he walked his face into her knife.
